This cutting board is a great size and doesn't slide around while cutting on it. BUT.... be sure to clean top thoroughly!! ... ( i had to use a single edged razor tool, a hefty cleaning cloth and plenty of elbow grease to removed a black coating all over the cutting surface) ... now it has a lovely granite "gleam!" ... show more

    • Broke during transit; getting a refund is almost impossible
I really looked forward to getting this slab--I make chocolates. So imagine my dismay when I opened the box and it started coming out in pieces. Note: it's a single slab. It's not supposed to be in pieces. And it weighs a lot. So, it has to be returned so I can get a refund, and I have to take heavy granite pieces downtown to Whole Foods in order to do that. Seriously, someone literally dropped the ball on this one. I don't know if it was Amazon or the manufacturer's fault, but I'm the one whose out money on this item. I think it's time to take a break from Amazon. If there's a problem, their system is too difficult to use. ... show more

Most of my cutting boards ends up staining and all kinds of cut marks, not this one. It is very heavy and looks great on my counter top. We cut fruit every A.M. and no cut marks or scratches. Love this Board. Diana Fl.

    • It's heavy so handle with care.
Overall the cutting board is fantastic. It's very easy to clean. Keep in mind that it's granite. Which means it's heavy. I took off 1 star for the finish. While the center was nice and polished, the area around the edges seem rougher and less polished. Which means porous and susceptible to possible contaminants and bacteria. I will admit I never reached out to the company about this, but it's very visible and shouldn't haven't been sent out like this regardless. Additionally, there weren't any instructions for how to care for the board. I'm used to running mineral oil on wooden boards and I feel like granite has its own maintenence requirements. But alas, no details were given. ... show more

    • Marble cutting board does the best job
Besides marble boards being best for rolling dough, they are just more durable than those plastic boards. I found this particular item discounted due to a slight flaw which you can only see if you put on bright light and really look for it. If you find a discounted deal for a marble board - grab it. Easy to maintain - just clean up spills or water right away and it will last. And of course it looks beautiful on the counter. ... show more

I like the product but it has been a pain dealing with the overall delivery of it. The first one came back broken so I returned it for a replacement. I received a replacement and then received another replacement! I'm trying to find out what Amazon/Houseware Outlet wants to do about it but so far have received no instruction. ... show more
