  • Overrall good replacement for my old tank water heater
My old water heater stopped working all of a sudden, so I have to replace it. we decided to go tankless this time after a few days of research. this tankless water heater has been working great since installed. it heats up quickly. I can't tell how much gas it will save yet before I saw the next gas bill, but I can easily tell it saved lots of space. I installed it in my garage, very close to where my old heater was, so I can re-use those water pipes and gas pipes, which made the installation fairly easy. I did ask my buddy to help dig a hole on the wall and put the vent pipe in it. I also brought a tankless water heater service kit and a pressure relief valve, which is required by the city. overall it's a good heater, no complain so far. ... show more

  • Temp is not accurate. Will Scald you! Do not buy. Set @105 and puts out up to 145. Watch video!
The media could not be loaded. I bought the Natural Gas tankless water heater last year. From the beginning it would overheat every time. The temp will go over the set point almost 30 degrees and scald you. I keep it set at a low 105 and if I do not run two sinks at a time the output will soar to 140 degrees. Then it will shut off and give cold water before it starts back again. I complained to the tech support many times. They had me turn the gas valve in half flow. No difference. They sent me a video on how to remove the cover and adjust the gas regulator inside the unit as low as it would go to choke down the burner. That did not work either. I have asked them to send me whatever part that controls the temperature output. The temperature setting on the front of the unit is useless as the unit should cut off at the set temperature. Not 25 to 40 degrees above the set point. We have two heaters in our house and this one is for our kitchen, guest bath and laundry room. If you use a faucet at half water pressure it will not even come on. It is either cold or too hot to use. We are constantly adjusting the faucet up and down when bathing our pet to keep from scalding him. Now it has been over a year and they could care less that the problem was never fixed. At least our other heater is a tank and works great for showers. ... show more

  • My 3rd Fogatti product working great as usual; good customer service took care of my product issue
This was my 3rd purchase of Fogatti products, as i started with a portable water heater for the backyard and outdoor camping, that worked out well for me. So when my plumber wanted to charge me a few hundreds for flushing my 15+ year tank water heater, i was like why not upgrade to a tankless water heater? It's a heavy(duty) machine i have to say, and it took me quite some time to flush out the water from the old tank heater and remove it from the "closet", but worth all of the efforts. So many hard water sediments inside the tank than i had expected, i can't believe we've been using hot water from the tank water heater for so long, and that also explains why sometimes the hot water seemed to be white rather than transparent. Installation of the new one was straightforward for me as a handyman, keep in mind there's extra costs for vent pipe, service kits and other accessories needed. This tankless one heats up only when hot water is needed, look like my gas bill of last month did go down by a few dollars. Lastly, one more thing to mention, the tank i received had a dent on the side, probably the shipper or someone hit the box too hard. I contacted their customer service and a lady in FL responded immediately and took care of my case. Good customer service... so i actually referred to (showed off) my neighbor/buddy and he ended up buying one too. It's gonna be our DIY project(aka fun) for this weekend or next. ... show more

  • Tankless heater
I was pleased with the quickness of delivery BUT upon getting unit installed we discovered that it DID NOT work. After trying to contact Fogatti which btw for anyone interested in purchasing this unit the company is in Florida there's a time difference so that was our problem in trying to reach someone. After finally reaching someone we had already figured out that it was the meter sensor that was Not working. Of course, the rep had to do his job sent pictures of install and the area of meter sensor he had to go to boss for approval geessshhhh all this took up most of a day and then I had to INSIST on two day delivery of part ( we've been with out hot water since 3/29 what a pain) anyway part of on way I'll update if there's more issues because at this point I don't have it up and running. ... show more

  • Doesn't always work
I purchased this while it was still winter thinking I would install it when it got warm enuf to turn the gas off to my house to, run new piping for this system. I noticed the box was damaged and upon opening the box I noticed that some things were bent but I didn't think it was bad so I fixed it and installed it. It came on and worked a couple times and quit on a weekend so I paid to have a service gut come look at it and it worked while he was here so he didn't do anything. I e-mail the company and they e-mailed me back but told me I was outside of my time frame and when they asked why I didn't install it right away I told them it was cold. It quit again so I went to look at it took the front cover off wiggled all the wires (don't think that helped) but it started working again turning the water on and off so I left everything the way it was and it worked till now. getting a E1 code and I e-mailed them again for the price I paid you would think I would get some time out of it. Maybe I should have purchased one locally but I was trying to save money. ... show more

  • From tank to tankless, YES!
Our water tank lasted us 21 years. That is unbelievable however when it did break it flooded my basement. We decided to go with a tankless. It is unbelievable how fast the water gets hot and we don't have standing water and we don't heat water that we're not using.. We should have done this a long time ago. The product is awesome ... show more
