No issues. I was concerned that this wouldnt actually work when received because it didnt look like the ones that came out of the water heater however my water heater is running even hotter now with these then it did before and lasting longer!

    • These work great so far
The elements are an inch or two longer than the originals which allows more heating element surface area, allowing for slightly faster heating. Just make sure that your hot water tank can accommodate the extra length. (I didn't check beforehand but luckily they fit just fine and don't make contact with the other side of the tank.) The thermostats went in without a hitch. I recommend taking a picture of your old one to make sure you put the wires back in the same place as before. For the heating elements it doesn't matter which wire goes on which terminal (there's only two). Make sure the thermostat makes full contact with the tank or the measurement will be off. It will be low, which means the water will be hotter than you set it. ... show more

This kit kept my hot water heater in action. The old t-stats gave up and water was scalding hot one day and freezing cold the next. The replacement t-stats don't have exactly the same frame as the OEM part on my A.O.Smith hot water heater, but they are close enough to make for an easy, and workable, exchange. ... show more

After 8 months of use the lower thermostat almost caught fire. The switch contact welded itself into an on position. The water was boiling in the water heater. Luckily we smelled the melting foam and powered the unit off. If you value your families life and your home, do not purchase this product. This is a fire hazard and time bomb due to the over pressure of the run-away heater element. Looks like I was not the first one that this has happened too. ... show more
