I have this hooked to a 20lb tank on the back of my little cabin in a small shelter I built for it and it works great for hot showers. Price is right easy to install. Not sure how long it lasts on a 20lb tank yet but seems like it will get quite a few shower before it will need more propane.

I put it in my shop and I love it. Since it's a tankless, it costs me nothing when I am not using it. The water heats up quickly, and I never run out of water.

Good system for a cabin I am renovating . I got the propane setup for use with a propane piping system. I have a 20 gallon propane tank that I fill up once a year and bring to the cabin. It lasts me all year. Before I had a electric water heater but it used up a lot of battery to keep it on - this does not. This is a great point of use system. The listing is advertising it's good for the whole house, however I believe it's only able to meet the demand of 2 or maybe 3 fixtures. The longer the run the colder the water will be at delivery point. You can use it as a point of use system, meaning keep it in the room its delivering. Luckily I have it in the kitchen, which is next to the bathroom. It's just what we need for hot water needs. The supply lines are great but I use copper instead as it's more reliable for long term use. It does not have a TPR valve because it's tankless and does not require one. The water temp is decent but again it's at point of use. My run is only 5 feet to each fixture. It's highly energy efficient as propane is high in btus per gallon. I would say it's a great value for the money but you have to know what you are doing and what you are using it to be effective. If you are getting this to supply a whole house that has 100 ft runs, and a lot of hot water fixtures then that will be a problem. It is only capable of 4.74GPM, or about 4 gallons if you factor in temperature loss for long runs. I would say to really over engineer and ensure constant hot water, then keep it below 3 fixtures and small runs.

Tankless water heaters are a thing in Europe and have been for some time. They save space, work well and are economical compared to heating a large quantity of water and trying to store it. This basically hangs on the wall, connects to your propane line, electricity, cold water and hot water. The electricity is only for ignition when heat is called for so it can simply be a 120V 15A three prong outlet. You set the temp you want your hot water to be on a small LCD screen. If you are changing over from a traditional gas fired water heater, installing this could take less than an hour. Supply lines are included. Outdoor venting is also necessary. NO expansion tank is required--another time and money saver. There are the usual concerns with any hot water heating device--will it leak, how long will it last. I have no answers for that except to say that this seems very well made, especially at this reasonable price point. I would try to locate it near a drain or over a sump in the event that there is a problem--however I don't see the issue being any different with any other water heater. The hot water production is remarkable--basically creating hot water as you need it for as long as you need it. This unit produces more than 4 gallons per minute but other sizes are available. It's about the size of a medicine cabinet, weighs less than a small suitcase and is easy to adjust and get used to. I think it is the future of water heating and probably any hydronic application. The days of storing hot water might be coming to a close.

It only works with natural gas and has a steady temperature control and a flame failure device, anti-freeze protection, and overheating protection. It can output 68,000 BTU per hour, enough for me to have on-demand hot water for two or three points of use simultaneously. And I don’t hear much noise from it. The water heater has a stainless steel body. I can quickly adjust the temperature with the LED display. I can set the temperature between 86° F and 167° F. It comes with standard 1/2" NPT water fittings and a 2.5" horizontal vent pipe. The kit also comes with an inlet water hose, a gas hose, and an outlet water hose. And as I don’t have any tank, I save a lot of space in my home.

The water flow is enough for the whole family to use at the same time. For example, I can wash dishes in the kitchen while I am taking a shower, and the water pressure will not drop significantly. It heats up very quickly. It takes only a few seconds to turn on the faucet to get hot water. The constant temperature function is very stable. It will not fluctuate between hot and cold, and there is no need to adjust the temperature repeatedly. It is very comfortable to use in winter. The digital display is in Fahrenheit, and the temperature adjustment is intuitive and clear. The machine also has multiple protection functions, including overheating protection, antifreeze and flameout protection, which makes it very safe to use. I asked a master to install it. The machine itself is not too big, so it does not take up space indoors. The design is also very simple and will not destroy the interior style. There is a noise when it is running, but it is not loud and does not affect normal life.
