    • Puppy is living his best life
My English bulldog love his kennel. I however, do not. Its ugly and I wanted to make his "room" look nicer. I picked this up and once we had it put together, I was so happy I bought it! Its adorable and gives him plenty of room to stretch out and allows him to feel his fan much better than the kennel did and cools better since this bed is elevated. I did have some issues with the instructions but I will admit, following assembly instructions with just pictures is not my thing. Hubby came to the rescue and got it put together. I was so excited to get this, and I was so happy to not be disappointed when I opened up my package! Everything comes flat packed, and is extremely easy to put together. While the instructions are mainly all illustrations, it's very easy to follow. I was able to get it together on my own in a short time (maybe 30 minutes?). The quality of the wicker dog house is so good, on par with my patio furniture. Both of my 60-70 lb pups squeezed themselves into this together, and it didn't make any squeaks or looked like it was going to fall apart from under them. The mattress has an elastic loop and toggle on both ends to secure it around the metal frame (see photos). This keeps the mattress from falling out of my place, and to deter my dogs from trying to rip it out. Overall, it's made extremely well, and each panel has tight weaves. I'm not worried one bit that it won't hold up to daily use from both of my pups during the warmer weather. One thing I do wish was different: I wish the mattress cover was waterproof. I have to remember to always bring in the bed every night to make sure the inner piece doesn't get moldy or ruined from condensation. Verdict: I love this. Glad I got it, and I won't hesitate to buy it again if I ever needed to. This looks SO much better than my plain elevated net bed that my dogs would lounge on. It provides shade for my bullies, which is absolutely necessary for their breed in particular. It's also extremely light weight, so I can easily move it around the backyard. I have it close to our patio furniture, so that my dog's can feel included in our activities if they're ever bored. ... show more

Requested this for a friend for her rescue pibble (about 80lb), who likes to have secure places to lay. I was concerned it wouldn't fit him b/c the stock photos are all *BADLY* photoshopped with everything from a corgi to a retriever on/next to it giving no actual sense of size. I thought it was probably for smaller animals but I saw the weight limit was 160lb so I figured I'd give it a shot and she could donate it if it didn't work out. In her words: "I feel very comfortable saying in a review "pain in the a** to put together"", "It seems very sturdy. Pain in the a** to put together and I hurt because the screws that go with it don't super fit an Allen wrench well even though they're clearly supposed to because one came with it.
