Features

  • FIXED SHAPE - Purple teak wood L14.96W9.06H10.63 in, 4.72 lb. Shape as shown in the image (Manual measurement, please allow about 1 inch margin of error for different angles). Natural driftwood formed by nature has unique shapes and textures, making them one-of-a-kind. These driftwood pieces are carefully selected to ensure quality and aesthetics. Our driftwood has a relatively large weight and density, allowing it to sink directly into water and provide hiding place for your aquatic pets.
  • PRE-TREAT STEPS -- The the volume of extra larger driftwood, the longer it takes to release tannins. Before use, it should be soaked in water and boiled 2-4 times, than soak for approx. 3 weeks (the soaking time can be extended or shortened based on the size of the wood and the clarity of the water). During this time, tannins will be released, causing the water to turn yellow. It is necessary to frequently change the water until it becomes clear before placing it into the tank.
  • WIDELY USED -- You can place them in various aquariums, wooden boxes and glass tank according to your creative needs. Great for aquatic landscaping, sandpit climbing pets, such as fish, shrimp, turtles, bearded dragons, lizards, spiders, snakes, hermit crabs and more. Adds a natural, realistic view and providing them a more comfortable habitat. Suitable for use in fish tanks, miniature gardens, and aquatic plant landscapes. For reptiles, it can be used directly without soaking.
  • SAFE AND ROBUST -- Our high-quality drift wood can regulate the pH value and gH value of the fish tank water, with features such as water softening and stable water quality. Aquarium driftwood freshwater is sturdy and durable, and it may have moss when placed in water for a long time, but they will become a delicious source of nutrition for fish, shrimp, turtles and other aquatic animals.
  • PEACE OF MIND -- Regular water changes create a pristine growing environment for your aquatic pets and plants. We are committed to providing excellent after-sales services to our customers. Our products come with a 30 days refund or replacement assurance.

Description

About the natural aquarium driftwood from LYPHARD AQUARIUMS: Adjusting and stabilizing the pH and gH value of the water softens the water quality, making it more suitable for aquatic pets. Minimal tannin, no need for repeated steaming. Each piece of driftwood is rigorously screened for weight and quality and can sink directly into the water. Our naturally derived driftwood is highly durable, with each piece having a different shape and a sturdy build. It is suitable for use with reptiles and is resistant to damage and corrosion in arid environments. It provides an entertaining hideaway for the fish and creates a natural, authentic aquatic environment. Ideals for fish, arboreal reptiles and amphibians such as fish, ghost shrimp, turtles, bearded dragons, lizards, spiders, snakes, hermit crabs, tree frogs, etc. Before using driftwood: 1.Adding a suitable amount of salt or baking soda to boiling hot water and simmering for about an hour can promote the rapid release of tannins. 2.When the driftwood is immersed in hot water, the water will turn yellow. After it cools down, pour out the dirty water and replace it with clean water. Let it sit for a few weeks, during which the water needs to be changed frequently and the cleanliness observed to ensure that the water in the fish tank is clear after the wood is placed.

  • Exactly as Described
Pattern Name: 14 - 18 INCHES Size: 14-18" 2pcs
Exactly what I ordered! This size fit perfectly in our 10 gallon betta/nano shrimp tank! The color of the wood is beautiful. I soaked in hot water for approximately 3 hours, then added. Wood was clean, and is still releasing tannins, but no problem for me! My shrimp & betta took to it immediately & have enjoyed exploring their renovated home. ... show more

  • Great pieces and value!
Pattern Name: 14 - 18 INCHES Size: 14-18" 2pcs
The first photo is of both pieces in a 5 gallon bucket (of which they didn’t fully fit) with boiling water. That was the first boil and the worst of the tannins. Super easy to clean and smelled like actual wood, not some chemically treated mess passing as aquarium decor. The larger piece was very dense and immediately settled to the floor of my 20g and stayed put. The “smaller” piece had to be wedged in place with the larger piece to hold it down initially. My substrate is white sand and I’ve had exactly zero tannin staining. I didn’t want my sand stained but don’t mind a black water tank as I have 2 and they are actually my favorite tanks. No issues there at all and the water is clear. There is some mulm growth on the wood now but my mystery snails will take care of it. If it gets crazy, I’ll have the perfect excuse for getting some crustaceans to join the team. This is by far the best price around for driftwood/hardscape of this size. If I had any complaint it would be that I’d prefer a lighter colored wood but I knew what I was buying before I did it and it still looks great. 10/10 recommend. ... show more

  • Holy tannins!
Pattern Name: 6 - 10 INCHES Size: 6-10" 3pcs
Overall I am pleased with the pieces that were sent to me, one is mostly a straight branch but the other two have some character. I have yet to put them into my five gallon betta tank. I’ve boiled them for a full day and the water turns black. Now they are just sitting in cool water and the leeching has drastically reduced. I don’t mind tannic water but this was insane. Update: I tired of constantly boiling/soaking so I said f it and threw them into my new 5.5 gallon tank and if they leech, oh well. I can always do a blackwater tank and bettas like those conditions anyway. The photo does the set up no justice, it looks really elegantly simple in real life. The wood pieces together very well, and I am feeling positive about how the tank will evolve. ... show more

  • Perfect for my Python! lol
Pattern Name: 14 - 18 INCHES Size: 14-18" 2pcs
Great design, perfect size, excellent packaging, clean right out of the box, perfect natural color and design, my ball python loves them for winding against when it's grow time. Way better value than what you'd pay for the same or inferior products from most retail pet stores!

  • I was expecting it to look more like the one of the photo
Give it 3 star because I was expecting it to look more like the one on the photo, that was the only reason I ordered because of that photo but it's ok I guess

  • Nice driftwood
Pattern Name: 6 - 10 INCHES Size: 6-10" 3pcs
This wood is beautiful. I put it in my aquarium w/o boiling or soaking b/c I want some of the tannins in the water. Once this wood is saturated, it is beautiful. The color is rich and warm. I did not have any trouble with it floating. Very pleased. Would definitely recommend

  • Makes water too dark, even after boiling and soaking.
Pattern Name: 9 - 14 INCHES Size: 9-14" 2pcs
Beautiful wood pieces, but after simmering boil for 3 hours and a week of soaking and rinsing, there's just too much brown/orange tannin color leaking from this wood. I'm going to give it a couple more weeks, but if it's still making my water dark I'm going to remove them from my tank. Sad I wasted my money on it. I felt I was deceived because I read the water clears after time, but that didn't happen for me. ... show more
