  • Great product(s)
I’m not sure what all the negative reviews are about with this stand and the Nanit products altogether. This stand is great and doesn’t tip over no matter how tilted I have my camera unlike like others have stated theirs does, and a lot of people are upset Insights doesn’t work with this stand. Additionally, I was having issues with my camera (due to my setup with limited space) and customer service was not only wonderful, they told me a secret in order to get Insights with this stand! Open the Nanit app Tap the three bars on the top left to get to settings Go to camera (baby’s) settings Go to Advanced at the bottom Tap “Firmware Version” 5 times fast in order to view the secret menu Change “Mount Mode” to “Floor Stand” Just don’t expect Insights to be without glitches in this mode since the setup likely won’t be accurate for the camera’s algorithms, but at least you’ll get Insights! Hope this helps some as I too was disappointed initially the stand doesn’t let you use Insights (except it does!) ... show more

  • Not fit for purpose
Awkward angle and hard to see the baby. Would be far more effective as a small, collapsible floor stand. Like everything else with Nanit, the concept is great, but poorly executed. If you’ve bought this for vacation, be warned Nanit won’t connect to public networks - like the one in our condo building - making this stand a waste of money. Another item to add to Nanit’s long list of connectivity problems. I wish they’d advertise the limitations on their connectivity so parents could better prepare to safely monitor their children overnight. We arrived at 8pm with a tired infant and spent an hour trying to set this thing up when it was never going to work. We called Nanit who confirmed this and told us we had to go out and buy an extender - not an option at that time of night (and also, shouldn’t a system this expensive just...work?). Ultimately had to jerry-rig a connection through our phone hotspots - it resulted in a screaming, overtired baby, and a connection that repeatedly dropped, costing us all a night’s sleep. ... show more

  • Nanit Stand Is Useless
The Nanit Multi Stand is pretty useless and I have concerns about a company when the photo of the product on the box does not match the actual product. BUYER BEWARE. When you compare the multi stand to the photo on the box you start to see things arent the same. On the box the neck of the stand is flatter. The actual stand's neck is rounded. The grill on the photo is near the top of the neck and has smaller holes. The actual stand's grill is near the bottom and has larger holes. The photo's base even looks larger which would make sense considering how top heavy this is. This brings me to why this multi stand is useless. If you angle the camera on the stand it will begin to tip over. How they designed a multi stand that couldnt bear the weight of the camera head is beyond me. Maybe if we got the actual stand which was photographed on the box it would actually work. I called Nanit and they confirmed that the photo on the box is different than what's in the package. How is that allowed? When I told Nanit the stand and camera tip over when you angle it down they literally told me that's not what it was designed for. So then why did you give the stand the ability to be angled down in the first place? The only way I was able to get this stand to work was to put a mini tripod on it making the stand even more useless. If you want a product that doesn't match the item in the box and isn't designed for what it was actually designed to do, then this product is for you. I'll be returning mine. ... show more

  • $50 Stand Disables Nanit Functionality - No Sleep Insights
Using this $50 camera stand disables Sleep Insights - you know, the singular feature which sets Nanit apart. Imagine Apple selling AirPods that disabled voice calls on your iPhone - what on earth would be the point? Likewise, Nanit is hawking a high-priced accessory that effectively makes the baby monitor into a $300 webcam. Strongly suggest you not buy this stand and reconsider the purchase of the Nanit came altogether. ... show more

  • Waste of money; don't understand the point of the multi-stand
We bought the Nanit with wall mount and paid extra for this multi-stand. Since we room-shared with our little one for the first few months before moving him to his nursery, we used the multi-stand in our room. The stand is only a couple of inches tall and unless you have a tall dresser in your room, there's no way to point the camera down to actually see the baby. We basically used it to hold a very expensive audio monitor for several months. Without the proper angle, you cannot get Insights or use the Breathing Band. We also took the multi-stand to travel and again, could only use it to hold the Nanit camera as a fancy audio monitor. I don't understand under what circumstances the multi-stand would actually be useful. ... show more

  • Adds Versatility
While using Nanit camera on this stand disables some functionality like sleep band monitoring, it provides more functionality for a product that was initially limited to monitoring your child in the crib. We decided to use a side-sleeper bassinet for the first six months. Having the multi-stand allowed us to simply move the camera from his crib to the stand that overlooked wherever we needed to have a camera (play-pen, above the side-sleeper). While this functionality could replaced with a web-cam. I preferred to have one application (Nanit) to refer to for myself and my family as well as the security of the Nanit brand. ... show more

  • Great camera!
Love this camera and all its functions. The picture is slightly grainy during night vision but still better quality than other cameras I have used. Hardest part is figuring out when to set bed times on the app to make sure my sons sleep time at night is tracked correctly and not as a nap. But after finagling the times, it tracks a lot better. Highly recommend purchasing extra swaddles in case of spit ups or blowouts. Sound quality is amazing, maybe too good, because it can pick up sounds in other rooms of the house. Overall I am so glad I purchased this camera to watch over my little one. ... show more
