Top Amazon Reviews

  • Assembly, battery life and comfort review in accordance with Amazon Community Guidelines
Color: CREAM Style: 350w12a Classic
I give this e-bike only 1 star for ease of assembly because I still can't assemble it 2 months after delivery. My previous review was not approved due to Amazon Community Guidelines. I'm not sure how to write an honest review without mentioning customer service, return issues, product condition and damage, so please use your imagination. I gave 1 star for the battery life, I can't accurately assess the battery life without assembling it and riding it. The bike might be comfortable, but again, not being able to ride it, I gave comfort only 1 star for my review. In all fairness I would give this ebike no stars since I can't mention my personal experience or adequately evaluate aspects of the ebike that may require it to be ridden. There are a lot of positive aspects to this e-bike! The printed assembly instructions encourages you to view the assembly videos, which are available online with perseverance. It comes in many pieces, all of which are either shiny chrome or a lovely cream color. The pieces look great neatly stacked against my garage wall. The wicker-look front basket is great for storing cleaning rags in my laundry room. I hung the front wheel is both decorative and functional. It hangs on the garage wall and it's reflectors are perfect for letting me know when I need to stop when pulling into the garage. Without being able to assemble it, my ebike has prevented me from becoming overly healthy, losing weight or being involved in a biking accident. The boxes and packaging were plentiful, ensuring continuing employment for my recycle and trash pick-up persons, enough to fill my bins for 2 weeks straight! Since purchasing the ebike, I've had no extra room to accumulate any more items in my garage, so it's also useful to prevent unnecessary clutter. This e-bike ensure I keep my local uber drivers employed as well, so it's great for my community and the local economy. Since I can't use it, there's no need to ever charge the battery so the ebike is very eco-friendly, saving our valuable resources. I highly recommend this ebike for anyone who has too much money and loves to spend with carefree abandon. If you have expectations on getting the most value-for-money-spent, you may consider doing more research before making a final purchase decision. I hope my attempt at creating a positive review leaves future potential customers with plenty of new ideas on how to multi-purpose an ebike and use it to it's fullest potential! Update: It's been a full three and a half months since my purchase and I'm still going back and forth with customer service to find resolution instead of back and forth on the bike. I wish I could say it's exciting, thrilling and satisfying but as the bike remains unrideable, it grows tiresome, insulting and expensive. I gave this review as many stars as possible in hopes that people read it, rather than discounting aimy review compoletely if it had fewer stars. The fine folks who make this bike have sparked my creativity. Time I could have spent riding my bike this summer has been time spent thinking of creative names, speculating on how the customer service representives parents may be genetically related and how I could have better spent my financial resources. My garage has been a source of entertainment in various ways to stack damaged bike parts. I sincerely hope someone notices that three and a half months is a very long time to go without a bike, without a resolution. ... show more

  • no shocks, hard to attach trailer, brake issue
Color: WHITE Style: 350w With Display
Edit: I've had the bike about 2 months now, riding it about 2-3 days a week for 7 miles each time to and from work on the street, the odometer says 111 miles total. Today, the cable pulled loose from the back tire, causing an e7 error. I reattached the cable, but it tightened up and popped off again, I have not determined the cause yet. The already soft rear brake is now non-existant. I was able to get the cable to stay connected for my last mile home but the brakes not working made for an unsafe ride. I had hoped a bike of this cost would last longer than 100 miles before having a failure like this. After replacing the front brake and a more thorough test of the bike, it appears the motor cable is twisting around the tire axle until it tightens enough to pull it free from the connector and throw an e007 error. I am not sure why this is happening, nor how to make it stop. If it continues, it will likely damage the cable beyond repair. Edit: After taking the bike to a bike shop, they advised me the drum brake is shot and the derailleur is out of alignment. They advised it is not worth the cost to try to fix it. So now I have a giant paperweight after only 2 months with no way to repair it. I purchased the 350w with the digital display. I am quite pleased with this purchase. I am a first time buyer of an ebike. It is not super powered but it gives just enough assistance for my out of shape self to commute to and from work without wearing me out. I was pleased to find that the digital display allows for 5 levels of assist although right now I mostly use level 5 as my fitness level will take time to improve. It throttles reasonably, with a gradual increase in speed that seems to top out around 18 mph (according to the digital displays calculations). I was able to travel 3.8 miles with a slight incline in 16 minutes, so in reality I was traveling closer to an average of 15mph. Still, much better than a non electric bike. The battery level indicator on the digital display appears quite erratic. It seems to give an estimated level rather than actual as it falls quickly when using just throttle but then jumps back up when I switch to pedaling. I travelled just under 8 miles, against the wind, pulling a trailer with a 30 lb child for 2 miles of that distance, and still had about 1/3 batter life left. I was using level 5 pedal assist. I highly doubt I would achieve anywhere near a 30 mile distance at that rate, but it was more than enough for my needs. The most difficult part was attaching a trailer coupler to the rear axel. There's not a lot of space, and the axel is larger than a regular bike axel. I think it's about 12 mm, and my trailer coupler was 10 mm. After trying several couplers that didn't work, I took a metal rasp and simply enlarged the hole a tiny bit to make it fit. Rather than having the coupler hang downward, I had to have it above the axel, as the kick stand is in the way. The kick stand is marvelous, truly holds the bike up securely. I was pleased to find a spare battery fuse included with the bike, although I've not had to use it so far. The rear disk brake works okay, pretty soft and does not allow for a rapid stop. The front brake came non-functional and doesn't even come close to touching the tire. I have not attempted to adjust it and have just been using the rear disk break. It has been enough. The battery is easily removed with a simply flip up of the seat, which is very convenient. I am 145 lbs and 5'6" and the bike seems to carry me with ease. However, I had an issue adjust the seat. I have to have it at the lowest point and can only just tiptoe the ground. I cannot get the seat post completely tight and the seat will rotate when I turn to get off. I will modify it with a rubber sleeve to give a bit more friction as I'm afraid I could damage the post if I tighten the bolt further. The ride is just okay, the seat reasonably cushy, but you feel every single pothole, road crack, and speed bump. There appears to be virtually no shocks, but that is a small price to pay for a bike priced considerably lower than most of the more well known ones on the market. I love that this is a full size bike and not one of those tiny bikes that make folks look like an adult riding a kids bike. Basically, I like the bike, it's not without it's flaws, but a good deal for someone just wanting a short commuter bike to save gas money. I wouldn't mind a bit more power, but that would defeat the purpose of it also being a method of improving my physical conditioning, so I'm glad I didn't by a more overpowered bike. I am legally required to ride on the street with this bike, so riding sidewalks is not an option. And, least importantly, it's a lovely bike. It received many compliments from my coworkers, and curious questions on how it worked. I have not ridden it at night so I cannot speak as to how effective the headlights are. The white color should make it more visible to traffic I hope and it does have reflectors on the tires and rear fender. A milk crate was easily attached to the rear rack for if I need to transport a few groceries home. ... show more
