  • Works absolutely perfectly! Totally surprised at how well it worked.
I got this for painting models/miniatures with acrylic paints. I initially hesitated, as it's marketed as a nail painting airbrush, but the product description clearly mentions model painting, etc., so I decided to give it a try. I actually own a professional airbrush, but I no longer had the compressor for it. This was a great opportunity to see if I could get start airbrushing again with such a compact set. I used acrylic miniatures/gaming paint and thinned it with Liquitex airbrush medium, like I had always done with my other brush. These are not "airbrush" paints, but the thicker acrylics thinned to allow airbrushing. I was blown away at how well it worked! I used it on the highest psi mostly and found the adjustment knob on the end to work really well to throttle the amount of paint being delivered into the air stream. Sometimes thinned acrylics simply have too much solids to work well in an airbrush, but this worked great with the airbrush medium. I will say that using airbrush paints is highly recommended, as they are blended to a homogeneous consistency to allow for even and thorough application. At the moment, I don't have any airbrush paints, so I was very happy the regular Vallejo and Army Painter paints worked well enough with the medium. One final thing-- I thought the air pump handle might be a bit bulky. The "regular" pro airbrushes have a hose attached to a brush that is essentially identical to the brush in this kit. I think an artist might find the handle might get in the way of fine movements, but I actually found the extra bit of weight helped steady my hand, especially with using the finger tip for engaging the trigger. The pictures in the product page show a person using their thumb near the trigger, but you use your index finger. I use the brush for shading work; not detail. So I did not spend much time testing the trigger and adjustment knob to achieve thin, highly detailed lines. Typically, airbrushes will have a range of line thickness, but they will always have that sprayed look... it's not for sharp line work. I found that in my quick testing that there was a fair amount of adjustment of flow that allowed for wide, soft shading (what I want), as well as some more concentrated lines. VERY HAPPY with this airbrush! ... show more

  • It will get the job done
This kit is similar to many others on the market and will get the job done. The unit functions as expected but since it is not a dual action airbrush you tend to fight tip dry the entire session. The unit is easy to use and set up which is good since I picked it up for my teen daughter to dip her toes into airbrushing before letting her loose with one of my more expensive units, thus the pink color was perfect. Cleaning this brush was no more difficult than any other brush I have used. Having to hold onto the compressor with the airbrush can cause fatigue especially for smaller hands. All in all it is not a bad unit and has decent build quality. ... show more

  • I'd give the BananaGlow Nails Air Brush Kit 10 stars if I could!
The media could not be loaded. I use airbrush makeup, but the high dollar pump I bought with my high dollar airbrush makeup went out. Rather than spend another couple hundred dollars to replace THAT pump, I got this one, and I'm glad I did! What I love- it's rechargeable, meaning I am no longer tethered to the wall, nor do I have to pack up pumps, cables, air hoses, etc. then worry about them breaking in transport. This is a sturdy all-in-one unit and you can use it anywhere after charging. -comes with everything you could need to keep it clean and working properly (see photo) -works wonderfully with airbrush makeup. No splattering, just practically microscopic spray to get perfect, buildable coverage. It has 3 different power settings, in addition to the wand itself being adjustable -affordable, and the rose gold color is a nice touch -comes with 4 different cups to accommodate enough paint for whatever you are airbrushing -charge lasts for a long time. I don't think the battery passively runs down. Mine has been charged once, used at least 30 times, and still runs fine so far. -instruction book is exhaustive, so anyone can learn to use it What I don't like: that I didn't find it sooner! I don't airbrush anything except makeup, but given how much adjustable control this wand has, I think it will work well for paint projects too, provided your paint is cut with the proper medium, or using airbrush dedicated paint. Regarding nail airbrushing, nothing in the instruction manual advises how to do that, or what type products to use for nail art. I assume it's a situation where if you already do nail art, you know the answer. If you've never used airbrushing to do nail art, perhaps research it first, to ensure that you have the right products to use in an airbrush gun. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Powerful and Easy to Use for the Price
This little airbrush packs way more punch than I expected. It’s super easy to set up and use—even if you’ve never touched an airbrush before. The cordless feature is a huge bonus, and it holds a charge long enough to get through multiple projects without plugging in. I’ve used it for nail art and a little bit of cake decorating, and the spray is smooth and consistent. It doesn’t clog, and cleaning it is pretty straightforward with the tools that come in the kit. For the price, it honestly feels like a steal. Whether you’re a hobbyist or just testing the waters with airbrushing, this is a great kit to start with. ... show more

  • cool product
seems to be decent quality but you have to be careful if you're using it for paint, since it doesnt specify how thinned out it needs to be and can easily clog or be too thin. I think this kind of machine may be better strictly for airbrush intended paint. The mechanism is pretty simple, which is great for cleaning. The instructions could be clearer, I think because this is from china, but overall could be fun and easy to use once getting the hang of it and it could be figured out on your own with some fiddling with it for a bit. This is a great thing for flawless backgrounds on paintings and not having to worry about blending well. ... show more
