If you are someone who gets a spray tan a few times a year, this will pay for itself & the convenience of being able to do it on your own time, in your own home, is wonderful. I was shocked to see how inexpensive this system was, being that I typically pay anywhere from $35-$60 each time I get sprayed at a salon & having a daughter who also gets spray tanned occasionally, this will end up saving us a lot of money. PROS: *This is a compact system & once the tent is folded up & put into the carrying bag it comes with, you won't need a ton of space for storage. *The machine itself, when turned on, is comparable to the sound of a running the vacuum, maybe a little bit louder, but not super loud. *This is lightweight, not bulky & easy to carry, so it's great for mobile use *Very easy to understand instructions on how to put this together & get started spraying. This was a big concern for me when it arrived. I was excited to open the box & try it out, but was afraid that I wouldn't be able to put it together myself or would need help doing so & I was really pleased, almost shocked, to see how simple it was to get started. *The amount of money you will save on salon visits or paying for a mobile spray *The convenience of getting sprayed or spraying yourself on YOUR time, especially if you need/want sprayed asap or last minute, you won't have to try to get in somewhere or make an appointment & wait, or drive to a salon. *Extra containers included are really convenient CONS: *The only con I had with this purchase was the solution it came with....I have tried all 3 solutions & they have all turned either myself or my daughter orange, whereas other solutions have not. Since the solution provided with this kit was listed as free, I didn't let that effect my rating. TIPS: *Practice first by spraying a white poster board using water & a few drops of food color. You can change the way the gun sprays-either horizontal or vertical, so practice seeing which way you're most comfortable with first & how far away you should be spraying so it won't drip or run...then you won't end up wasting tanning solution figuring everything out. *So you get in the habit of cleaning your gun after each spray, since you get extra solution containers with this system, before you spray, fill one of your extra containers with hot water so when your done, you can attach that container for cleaning your gun & not forget to do it. Spray the water into the sink until its coming out clear. *A foam paintbrush will help even out any drips or runs *If you get solution on your hands, washing your hands with dawn dish soap will take off the stains. I spilled a bottle of tanning solution while I was getting ready to spray & my hands were covered...My regular hand soap did nothing & I had almost black palms, washing my hands with the dawn dish soap a few times, did the trick & palms wern't even orange! *Always put more solution in your container then your planning on using...with this system, if the containers almost empty, it doesn't spray evenly & spits out solution...Whatever you don't use, you can pour back into the bottle since it's not in contact with skin. *If your using a ton of solution or its dripping on the skin, turn your dial down on the gun & unscrew the nozzle, tip of the gun, one or two turns. You will see a huge difference in how it sprays. I hope this review helps if you're trying to figure out whether or not to make the investment & purchase this kit. I would highly suggest it as it's simple to use, you get professional results & this will end up saving you money.

I bought this unit so I can spray friends and to have my husband spray me, for convenience and to save money being the main factors. It arrived on time and packaged well, however, upon receipt, one of the sample bottles exploded all over but it didn’t get on the unit or tent. Instead of returning the entire thing I asked the company to send out new samples and they responded immediately and promised to send out a new sample. I have never used a spray tan machine so I did a lot of research on spraying techniques as well as random facts and tips to learn how to use it. It takes some time but you will end up finding your own way, but I recommend doing a lot of research before you start. Now that I have got the hang of it, I want to spray everyone that walks in the door! It is so fun and my friends LOVE it! I started with my 15 year old daughters legs (with the comments about hating the sample solution it comes with I wanted to be sure she could cover it up if it looked horrible). I started with the lightest sample solution and it went on very nicely! However, I should have given her more instructions because she touched her legs with her fingers and also rubbed her thighs together while it was still wet right after I was done. I did not want to mess with it so I told her to just leave it. Even that night it looked gorgeous and VERY natural (besides the very large obvious splotches). When she showered the next morning there was no indication that there were large smudges, they had completely disappeared! Next I used the medium toned sample on a friend of mine and did her entire body. Again, the sample solution looked natural and went on very nicely, and only had some issues around her neck, because she looked down right after. Again once she showered, there was no sign of error. From what I can tell, the sample solutions don’t deserve the negative reputation they seem to have. I think it’s all about spraying technique, ensuring the settings on the gun are proper and making sure you use the right color for different skin types. The only bad thing I would say is that it does seem to fade quickly. I love this system; it’s easy to use, to clean and to store. I highly recommend it!

I bought this spray tanning kit almost 2 years ago and it is still working just as good today as it did the first time I used it. The spray gun is super easy to take apart to rinse and air dry, I have never had any build up or clogs at all. I can't say enough good things about the Maxi-Mist Lite!! I have highly recommended this kit to many people and will continue to do so. It is so easy to use and will save you money in the long run (not paying for spray tans at a salon). The tent easily folds up to store in the bag that it comes with if you don't have a lot of space to leave it up. I didn't really care for the spray solution that came with the kit, so I buy Norvell Venetian and it works perfect. If you are on the fence on a kit to buy definitely go with the Maxi-Mist Lite, you will be happy you did!

As of using the spray tan machine once so far, it performed well and as expected. For the price, it is good. It does not exceed expectations, but it does at least meet them. If you are trying out these machines for the first time, I say give this one a go. Good value and quality.
