If you are someone who gets a spray tan a few times a year, this will pay for itself & the convenience of being able to do it on your own time, in your own home, is wonderful. I was shocked to see how inexpensive this system was, being that I typically pay anywhere from $35-$60 each time I get sprayed at a salon & having a daughter who also gets spray tanned occasionally, this will end up saving us a lot of money. PROS: *This is a compact system & once the tent is folded up & put into the carrying bag it comes with, you won't need a ton of space for storage. *The machine itself, when turned on, is comparable to the sound of a running the vacuum, maybe a little bit louder, but not super loud. *This is lightweight, not bulky & easy to carry, so it's great for mobile use *Very easy to understand instructions on how to put this together & get started spraying. This was a big concern for me when it arrived. I was excited to open the box & try it out, but was afraid that I wouldn't be able to put it together myself or would need help doing so & I was really pleased, almost shocked, to see how simple it was to get started. *The amount of money you will save on salon visits or paying for a mobile spray *The convenience of getting sprayed or spraying yourself on YOUR time, especially if you need/want sprayed asap or last minute, you won't have to try to get in somewhere or make an appointment & wait, or drive to a salon. *Extra containers included are really convenient CONS: *The only con I had with this purchase was the solution it came with....I have tried all 3 solutions & they have all turned either myself or my daughter orange, whereas other solutions have not. Since the solution provided with this kit was listed as free, I didn't let that effect my rating. TIPS: *Practice first by spraying a white poster board using water & a few drops of food color. You can change the way the gun sprays-either horizontal or vertical, so practice seeing which way you're most comfortable with first & how far away you should be spraying so it won't drip or run...then you won't end up wasting tanning solution figuring everything out. *So you get in the habit of cleaning your gun after each spray, since you get extra solution containers with this system, before you spray, fill one of your extra containers with hot water so when your done, you can attach that container for cleaning your gun & not forget to do it. Spray the water into the sink until its coming out clear. *A foam paintbrush will help even out any drips or runs *If you get solution on your hands, washing your hands with dawn dish soap will take off the stains. I spilled a bottle of tanning solution while I was getting ready to spray & my hands were covered...My regular hand soap did nothing & I had almost black palms, washing my hands with the dawn dish soap a few times, did the trick & palms wern't even orange! *Always put more solution in your container then your planning on using...with this system, if the containers almost empty, it doesn't spray evenly & spits out solution...Whatever you don't use, you can pour back into the bottle since it's not in contact with skin. *If your using a ton of solution or its dripping on the skin, turn your dial down on the gun & unscrew the nozzle, tip of the gun, one or two turns. You will see a huge difference in how it sprays. I hope this review helps if you're trying to figure out whether or not to make the investment & purchase this kit. I bought this unit so I can spray friends and to have my husband spray me, for convenience and to save money being the main factors. It arrived on time and packaged well, however, upon receipt, one of the sample bottles exploded all over but it didn’t get on the unit or tent. Instead of returning the entire thing I asked the company to send out new samples and they responded immediately and promised to send out a new sample. I have never used a spray tan machine so I did a lot of research on spraying techniques as well as random facts and tips to learn how to use it. It takes some time but you will end up finding your own way, but I recommend doing a lot of research before you start. Now that I have got the hang of it, I want to spray everyone that walks in the door! It is so fun and my friends LOVE it! I started with my 15 year old daughters legs (with the comments about hating the sample solution it comes with I wanted to be sure she could cover it up if it looked horrible). I started with the lightest sample solution and it went on very nicely! However, I should have given her more instructions because she touched her legs with her fingers and also rubbed her thighs together while it was still wet right after I was done. I did not want to mess with it so I told her to just leave it. Even that night it looked gorgeous and VERY natural (besides the very large obvious splotches). When she showered the next morning there was no indication that there were large smudges, they had completely disappeared! Next I used the medium toned sample on a friend of mine and did her entire body. Again, the sample solution looked natural and went on very nicely, and only had some issues around her neck, because she looked down right after. Again once she showered, there was no sign of error. From what I can tell, the sample solutions don’t deserve the negative reputation they seem to have. I think it’s all about spraying technique, ensuring the settings on the gun are proper and making sure you use the right color for different skin types. The only bad thing I would say is that it does seem to fade quickly. I love this system; it’s easy to use, to clean and to store. I highly recommend it! ... show more

I bought this spray tanning kit almost 2 years ago and it is still working just as good today as it did the first time I used it. The spray gun is super easy to take apart to rinse and air dry, I have never had any build up or clogs at all. I can't say enough good things about the Maxi-Mist Lite!! I have highly recommended this kit to many people and will continue to do so. It is so easy to use and will save you money in the long run (not paying for spray tans at a salon). The tent easily folds up to store in the bag that it comes with if you don't have a lot of space to leave it up. I didn't really care for the spray solution that came with the kit, so I buy Norvell Venetian and it works perfect. If you are on the fence on a kit to buy definitely go with the Maxi-Mist Lite, you will be happy you did! ... show more

Received everything in a timely manner. Very easy to put together. If you follow the instructions, you should have zero issues. Used 4 oz of liquid for two coats on my wife. Following their guidelines, the spray tan turned out virtually perfect! Both were incredibly pleased with the results. Have not tried the enclosed tanning solutions as she had purchased a third party solution previously. Really impressed with the system. Left off 1 star for the tent. It was easy enough to set up but boy did I struggle getting that sucker back in the bag!!! Hopefully after a few tries, I will be more proficient at it. Apparently my wife did get a kick out of seeing my many failed attempts so there is that! Think I'll give back that star upon reflection! Enjoy and don't be afraid. My girlfriend wanted to add some color to us before our Carribean vacation. We were very pleased with the ease of setup, use, application, color bringing, and the clean up of the product and system. We have used it a couple times since our trip. Provides a nice healthy color without being "orange". I had never spray tanned before, but this product makes it effortless. Used tent like 10 tines and its nearly unusable, i have tents I’ve had for about 5 yrs and they aren’t torn or worn away. The machine itself is fine, the hose can’t connect to a pro gun, nor are any offered, only use of the emergency plastic guns i carry but the cups r small the connection to the gun is awkward and useless. They should at least offer to replace it and repair it in the meantime.. Update, company never responded to me so I got a crap tent and a hose that was not as described as it has no way to adapt to a pro gun without buying an entire hose. I’m mainly concerts out the tent, i handle them with great care, they are rinsed with water and an environmentally friendly cleaners when needed, they are sanitized after dried and never had one fall apart so fast, i like the tent however it’s not for more than 10 to 20 times and looks like I beat it up and used it day for a few years, i have tents older that are ok still in tact, no discount or anything offered, disappointed ... show more

I loved the maxi mist pro and had it for 8 years. I am not liking this one at all, the spray is narrow even after adjusting and the straw inside doesn’t reach to the solution always even with 2ml.

Great machine for the price. I love to spray tan. I'm terrified of laying in the sun or tanning beds despite having an olive skin tone. I was paying to get a spray tan regularly at 40 bucks a pop. Not at all economical. I decided to splurge and get this machine after reading the reviews. It takes a couple of tries and attempts to get used to using the machine but once you do it is super easy. Tips: hold the gun LEVEL. if you don't it will spurt. also fill with 3-4 oz of solution, the decorations say to use 2 oz but I've had a more even tan with more solution in the container. Whatever solution is left over you can just return to the bottle. Next, apply lotion to the skin prior to using (after a shower/bath, exfoliating and shaving.) Also purchase a barrier cream for hands wrist, and feet for a more even tan. Next, hold the fun 8-12 inches from the body rather then the 4-6 inches that the directions recommend. Holding the machine further back will prevent the solution from running on the skin. Also I turn the spray to the lowest setting. If drops are forming on the skin you are either. 1. too close to the skin or 2. have the too much spray coming out and need to turn the dial down. This sounds complicated but is not at all. I feel like I've almost mastered this in just 3 applications. If you're considering buying this machine do it! A beautiful safe tan and cost effective. ... show more
