It's probably the best thing I bought all Christmas– it lives on the coffee table and everyone in the house plays it. It has become a fun family competition to see who can get the highest score. It's user friendly and has several games, but we mainly just play Tetris. My only complaint is the battery life, but that just might be because we play with it so often.

Great little handheld for my 6 year old. He loves Tetris and the bonus games and I love that his brain is being challenged by puzzle games rather than just staring at a tablet screen. We got this to add to a long road trip we have coming up and I think it will be a nice addition! Screen brightness is great, sound quality is good, and the design and button functionality are easy to figure out.

This is a fun handheld to own and play! No, it's not a port of the original arcade ROM. I'm not sure which console this was ported from, but I've heard mention of it being the SEGA version in another review. Regardless, it's a decent likeness of the arcade ROM with the sounds being pretty close. I've also heard other reviewers talk about the audio sounding bad in their handheld unit. I experience the same distortion in the sound, but I believe it's just the tiny speaker being insufficient to handle the amount of audio gain inherent in the ported ROM. If you plug in headphones or an external speaker, the audio sounds normal. For what it's worth, the audio coming from the speaker in the Ms. Pac-Man version sounds fine, so this problem could be isolated to the Pac-Man version. I'm not sure about the other Pocket Player titles. No comment on the other two included games. I don't play them and was only interested in the original game, which is totally worth the price point to have. The game is really best suited for joystick control, but the D-pad on this unit is pretty responsive. You may need a little time to build muscle memory with it. Be patient if it seems like you push one direction and Pac-Man stalls or makes an unintended turn straight into an oncoming ghost. It's just the nature of a D-pad versus a joystick. You'll eventually get the feel for it. This handheld version is all about portability of the game. Yeah, you can get it on your smartphone, but touchscreen control for a game such as this is frustratingly difficult to maintain over time. D-pad control may not be optimal, but it's sufficient with a little practice. Bottom line: if you're a fan of the game, young or old, this is a version worth carrying around with you.

This is a lot of fun if you want to kill some time playing Tetris. Much better than playing on a phone, and even better than some of the console versions. There is no "hold" button or feature since this is based on an older version of Tetris that didn't have that. But still fun. Screen is bright, and sound is good -- and you can turn it down or off.

My 9 year old son is obsessed with both the Tetris and the Pac Man games! I try to avoid tablets wherever I can, so my son will grab these games for shorter road trips and events that will require him to sit and wait for a while. They're the perfect pocket-sized games, high quality, and the battery lasts for hours between charging.

I bought this on a whim, and shouldn’t have. It’s bad enough that I don’t know where to start. I was surprised you could power it over USB C and not bother with batteries. That is the only good thing I have to say. The controls are sloppy and difficult. I can’t decide if the screen is bad, the settings are wrong, or both. Everything has a mushy look to it and the games don’t look right at all. I guess the sound is ok but tinny. For the price point save your money. There is world of good emulation out there where a few more bucks gets you quality gear. Stay away from this.
