It is nice to have a portable version of bases loaded to take along with me everywhere. Really my only complaint is there is no voice in the game. So no called strikes or balls. No outs or safes. You just have to look at the indicators on screen to know what's going on. This is not a huge deal in the bases loaded games but does make the racket attack game that also comes with it hard to play. I really only bought mine for bases loaded so not a huge issue for me. Overall the game has been fun and I have really enjoyed it. ... show more

The first unit I got had lines in the screen whenever the characters moved. I returned it and got a 2nd unit and this one had several pieces of dust and debris in between the LCD. I own several other devices from My Arcade and this is the first time I had problems. Overall the games are fun and nostalgic. I’ll come back when the quality issues are resolved. Update 9/25/2020 Decided to buy this item again from Amazon and it looks like the quality issues are resolved. Can't wait for the Contra Pocket Player. ... show more

This Bases Loaded My Arcade Pocket Player is a good buy on the surface based on the lineup alone. You have classic Jaleco NES sports games included: Bases Loaded 1-4, Goal, Hoops, and Racket Attack. Picture quality is excellent. I actually own all 7 of these games on cartridge for the NES. First played Bases Loaded back in 1988, and it is one of my favorite NES games, period! So, I could pick up on one HUGE problem right away! Presentation is very important to me in sports games. Basically, there are NO announcers or voices in any of these games. It could be a missing channel of sound? Who knows? But, the voices that made the Bases Loaded games distinct with called Balls and Strikes, the announcement of Play Ball, New Pitcher, and Homerun are all missing! It's the same problem with the other games. Honestly speaking, had I known that, I probably wouldn't have bought this thing.
