I bought this as a gift, and except for a couple of tapes, it was wonderfully sealed which makes it look brand new. The product itself was amazing, especially for this price which is way more affordable and matches the quality of the console. We were ready to use cables for the controllers as I had read many complaints in the comments, but experienced no issues at all. The games are hard, because Atari games ARE HARD haha. Additionally, you can buy a microSD card and add a lot of games, which is an amazing plus. I picked this up for a good price, and it was worth it, you have to update the software, but after that, you can add roms to a SD card and play games from other systems, $29.99 HDMI support, heck yeah

My nitpick is they should have virtual manuals for each game. The trial and error of figuring out what game 1, 2, 3, etc actually are is a bit much. But other than that this is amazing. Paddle controllers. Atari joysticks that actually work. My kids love the simple fun games. Love it.

    • Easy to set up, wonderful expandability, and convenient to travel with.
Let me start by pointing out you can power this thing with a small power brick (I usually use to charge my iPhone or other devices), meaning you don't ever have to plug it into the wall. Combine that with the fact the controllers can run off AA batteries (or you can plug them into the device if you don't have batteries) and you have something that is FULLY portable. I pull it out of my backpack and can plug it into any TV or computer monitor with the supplied HDMI cable and can play pretty much any Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, MAME, Turbo Grafix 16, NES, SNES, Sega Master System, and Sega Genesis game....anywhere and whenever I want. I've tried 100's of them to success. A couple of the VERY intense Sega Genesis games experienced "slight" slowdown, but the vast majority of them play very well. *small* con: the controllers are cheap and plasticy. However, they are fully functional. It even has a spinner on the end to serve as the paddle on the Atari 2600 paddle games. The controller is fine, but is the only slight disappointment to me compared to the rest of the system. Also, the wireless thing on the controllers is nice, but I hope your smart TV has a "game mode" setting, else the lag will be bothersome. Game Mode will help for sure. Also, you can directly plug the controllers (or other controllers) into the console via a micro USB cable if you dont wanna use batteries which will also help with the controller input lag. What I mentioned above is where I will stop now because that's more than enough to make this device very well worth it to anyone that's a fan of classic gaming. GET THIS. ... show more
