Bought this to make some RGB signs for my band's merch booth. Easy to apply a vinyl decal and cut with a hack saw to desired length. Really quick and easy to make. Just added some addressable led strips with a cheap controller and USB power and it works and looks great.

Came as advertised and no issues, except my item appears to have been an open box return by someone. The panels were wrapped in bubble wrap, but torn open. The acrylic diffusers also had their protective film partially removed... you can see where someone attempted to peal it off (and did a terrible job at it). I looked it over and saw no damage, so I'm not returning them because I don't want to deal with the hassle and need them for an immediate project. Still a huge disappointment. Update... after letting support know of my issue, they shipped a replacement at no cost immediately. I've updated my review to reflect great customer support. ... show more

Every LED strip with sufficient lights per meter to make this work (90+) I can find is 12mm wide but the interior space here is 11mm and the strips don't fit. Add to that both of the aluminum boards I received were bent and... 1 star.

    • LED strips don't stick well in the board

The board itself is made pretty well --a solid, if a little thin, piece of aluminum. Trying to fit an LED strip into it however presents the first problem - adhesion. LED strips don't stick well to the aluminum without extra hot glue or adhesive, so be prepared for that. The second issue I had is that it's just not long enough to really do anything with - you have to purchase multiple units in order to create a longer run, then there's no easy way to fit those together again without extra adhesive or whatever. So if you're looking for a single 4-ft panel, this will do fine, but if you want to do more than that there are other systems out there that do a better job of doing things like interlocking and sticking to walls or standing up on their own. ... show more

Sure, these are sold as baseboards, but they can be used as signage, mood lighting and more. Ever see those light up crayon boards at coffee shops, etc.? Same thing here. These use top-down lighting to make the acrylic panel glow. If you were you write on these with the correct ink, the writing would glow. Vinyl sticks to it - custom backlit signs! Included is the aluminum track (10mm deep, 1mm thick extruded) and plexi panel (8mm) thick. There's also mounting tape and screws. You need to supply the lighting. These are incredible sturdy - almost zero flexibility and easy to install. I only have a single panel and plan to use it for a sign in the game room. ... show more
