I looked all over for a simple bed with storage and made of real wood. Assembly was easy besides slowing down for a few screws that required a longer bit to install in the pre-drilled holes. Besides the lack of predrilled headboard holes and screw anchors, it's a very nice solid wood bed for not a lot of money.

    • Perfect height for my thick mattress and beautiful
I was frustrated with my old taller bedframe. My feet couldn't touch the floor when I sat on it. I'm 5'7". I found this frame and loved that it is solid REAL wood. It went together easily. We did glue some of the dowels in, even though instructions didn't say to, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. With this frame I can sit on the bed to get dressed and not fall off. I also bought the matching underbed slide out drawers which have come in handy. They are great for storing out of season linens and extra pillows. ... show more

I like the wood color and the storage space below for the additional drawers we purchased. It sits high and makes it easy to get in and out of. The build was a complex process. Not as easy as an Ikea flat pack item. If your have the assembly skills to interpret a tiny diagram then by all means go for it. Otherwise consider paying for the expert assembly. ... show more
