Putting this under your carseat for your child, will save your car interior quite a bit of damage. If you have ever taken out a child car seat from your car, you'll find TONS of food particles, and lost snacks. Things like puffs, yogurt melts, M&M's, crackers, etc... Kids tend to drop pieces, and usually we find them when we pull the car seat out to clean it. By then, it has been ground into the car interior and can leave stains, or crumbs that are a pain. This item will keep the crumbs and bits from getting to your interior allowing for easier clean up. To install, you simply put the tab between the vertical and horizontal cushions of your seat. It will still allow you to access the hook points for the car seat without any trouble. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the front pocket is effectively useless for any child whose feet dangle down. We tried putting things in the pockets, and our son kicked his feet and crushed the snacks we had placed there. I would have preferred that they either did not put the pockets there, or maybe make them hang lower. This is a pretty minor issue, and I still really like the cover. If you ever take your carseat to an inspection point (our local hospital has these in the community a couple times a year), they will tell you that they don't recommend any third party piece, and I understand their concern, but I don't see any added risk by having it there. Nobody there could explain why this would add a risk for my son, they just said it was their policy. The key for me, is that the car seat doesn't move, and with this installed, the seat doesn't move. Overall, a good investment for me. I like it, and I think it would be a great baby shower gift.

Today I put my Munchkin Auto seat proctor into my backseat, I actually bought two one for each grandchilds car seat. I really like the width of the bottom or seat portion. It goes past the carseats (one is a backless booster seat the other is a booster with a back) and takes up a good portion of the seat offering a nice range of protection. The flap in the back tucks in between the seat and the seat back nicely keeping the seat protector in place. The feature I like the most and the reason I purchased these protectors is that the protector goes down the front and into the pouches for whatever treasures they decide they would like to bring along. The problem I was having with the booster seats was that their feet go past the carseat and rest on my backseat getting it pretty dirty. I have light colored seats so the dirt showed up very fast. This is the perfect solution to the problem! I had my car detailed today and now I can keep it nice and clean with my littles in the back! I utilize customer reviews heavily when I am trying to decide on a purchase and consider reviews a valuable tool for us as consumers to make informed choices as to where we spend our money. Sometimes I will come back and give more information should I notice new things along the way. When looking at reviews I do take into consideration personal preference that may not reflect the product itself. I will do my best to acknowledge when something in my review is personal preference as opposed to something about the product itself. Take it from me who just turned my 2 year old SUV leased car in and was dinged for car seat indentations. So when I got my new leased car, this was one of the first things I purchased , even before installing our son's car seat and overall I am very satisfied with this protector for its thick no-slip material offering ample protection , a few extra pockets to hold your kids toys, sipper etc & above all its low cost BUILD QUALITY: - Despite its small appearance and package size it is actually quite thick and offers ample protection against car seats indenting your seats - The four corners are extra thick and textured to prevent car seat from slipping USING IT: - No matter how much I tightened my child's car seat , the bottom never gave away and still offered good protection against the car seat's edges - The foot pockets are a bit small but are still useful for carrying your child's toys or sipper - Due to the textured nature of the material , the child's car seat does not slip one bit over it & it stays firmly in place - It does not extend too much on the sides of the base of the car seat but it does offer some protection against spills - Food crumbles are another thing , they just fly everywhere! THE NOT SO GOOD: - The only minor complaint I had was that the rear portion got somewhat in the way and made installing the lower LATCH anchors a bit tricky. This could be a unique case for my car ( '17 Nissan Murano) FINAL THOUGHTS: This is a great thing to get to protect your car seat's whether you buy or lease . And if you DO lease your car, trust me its going to pay itself over 10 times its cost when you turn your car in!
