    • Minces well, but does take some strength
I like this garlic press better than the typical one in which you put the garlic into a well and press down on it, as I always feel like that type leaves a lot of garlic in the well. This one minces almost all of the garlic. However, you do have to use quite a bit of pressure, especially with the first clove, to get it through the holes. Also, make sure you rock the press to get all the garlic minced. One thing I do really like about this type of press is that you can just keep adding more garlic until you have all you want, and then scrape it all at once into your dish. You don't have to scrape it off after each clove. Also, the little thing that comes with it to roll your garlic in to remove the garlic peel works REALLY well! I had one already, but for some reason, this one works better. I also like the little brush that comes with it to clean it with. It works well, and it isn't very difficult to clean. ... show more

This apparatus took a lot of force to get the garlic up through the holes. I have an old swiss made garlic press and it works and is much easier to use and clean.

This product works better with fresher garlic so it presses vs smashes. But overall it's easier to clean and use and quicker than a traditional press.

Sorry folks, this is not at all what I expected. I have a different garlic press that works better and with half the effort. The only good thing that came out of this purchase, is the rubber garlic sleeve that helps me to peel the garlic skin.

The first time I used this a part of the handle fell off--still useable, but it takes some effort. I found the garlic was more "pressed" flat than chopped. Would not buy again.
