These pens are incredible!!!! Super fine line, doesn’t skip, not scratchy, and writes beautifully. I’ve purchased other very/ ultra fine point in the past and I’m always fearful of the things I’ve mentioned but again, I am very impressed with these pens. Pros: .38 tip is very nice and smooth. Dries nearly instantly. Doesn't blot like some ballpoints do. Cons: Not waterproof though that isn't a big deal since I wouldn't use these to ink a watercolor work anyway. This pen is an instant favorite of mine to draw and sketch with. I never expect good things out of gel ink because it either blots or smears even minutes after making a mark. This is not an issue with this pen as it dries within a second of putting a mark down. .38 is an incredibly fine line to sketch with and I enjoy using this pen thoroughly. Don't let the .38 line fool you, this pen is nice to ink over sketchs and drawings with as well. It makes a very bold line and i can vary the line weight simply by going over lines with it and even blacken parts that I need to. This order came with 10 pens but I do plan to buy more when I get low. Though I primarily use these to draw with they are very good for writing too.

I LOVE these pens. These are the only pens I like to use, and I go out of my way to buy them on Amazon. The pens write smoothly, the ink dries very quickly, and my writing has never smudged. The black is very deep, striking color. The pen itself is comfortable to hold and write with for long periods of time. The ink in these pens does not bleed through to the other side of the page, even on thin paper. Honestly, these pens are so good that my students and coworkers try to sneak them away when I'm not paying attention. You will not regret buying these!

Muji products never fail to impress me. I have been to one of the stores in New York and their stationary is high quality, and at a reasonable price. These pens are no exception. They write flawlessly and are so needle-tip fine. I would like to aware you that if you twist the top of the pen where you would rest the pen cap when using it, the inside of the pen will come loose (so you can replace the ink). I did not realize this and apparently it was loosened a bit so the pen tip was unstable which is hard to explain, but it's an easy fix to just screw the end back on tighter with your fingers. No big deal, just concerned me a bit. Otherwise, beautiful pens!

they write cleanly, consistently, and do not produce ink bubbles on the page like some gel pens have a tendency to do. They also have a very narrow line that is still consistent, which seems to be something that is difficult for mass pen distributors to replicate at an affordable cost. Overall, a very enjoyable writing experience, and I do not bring these pens to the office for fear of their being stolen. Seriously, I go Gollum over these pens. Highly recommend, as they work on handmade paper just as well as on computer paper (very rare quality, I usually find myself switching back and forth between a thicker lined fountain pen or gel pen).

Ira Glass from This American Life mentioned these and since I'm a fan of the show and a bit of a pen herd, I thought I'd give them a try. I am not disappointed. Actually, I'm thrilled. These little plastic pens are phenomenal. They produce crisp, thin, very dark lines on most paper types. The tip glides smoothly and the ink dries fast. The barrel is a typical diameter and the length is compact, which is nice. They come in a 10 pack which means they are very inexpensive. Nothing fancy here. Just a serious workhorse of a pen that you won't be afraid to lose.

OVERVIEW: I'm largely satisfied with these pens; they're precise and durable and the only reason I'm docking a star off is because I think the price was still a bit high for what I got. Regardless, if you want a dependable gel pen and you're willing to pay a slightly high price for it, then this is the pen for you. PROS: - Very durable, not very many parts involved so it'd be pretty difficult to break one - Plenty of ink, lasts a long time - Ink is dark and crisp, dries pretty quickly on paper (as someone who's left handed I'm definitely grateful for the latter) - Good packaging CONS: - A bit pricey (as are most Muji products) - Relatively small tube diameter and lack of a grip can make it difficult to hold (but no more difficult than a simple ballpoint) - Doesn't glide quite as easily as a ballpoint ADDITIONAL INFO: Since it's a 0.38mm pen, it comes with some of the caveats of a smaller tip size. It tends not to glide as easily (the ball can also stick occasionally which makes the pen skip when writing) and it requires a lot more control and precision. If your handwriting is a bit shaky like mine and you don't need the extra precision in your writing, it might be a better idea to stick to a larger tip size (I prefer 0.5mm). This is more of a personal preference so I'm not letting it change my rating in any way, since I know some people prefer the smaller tip size for many of the same reasons I dislike it. I also received a cute little origami shirt with my package, which was greatly appreciated!

I absolutely love these pens. After searching for THE perfect pen, I have finally found it! These write so smoothly and the ink is so, so dark which I'm a huge fan of to say the least. Also the ink! It dries amazingly fast, I love it. It's almost impossible for the ink to smear unless you're really trying. My friend who is a leftie uses them also with no smear. These are the perfect pens for school! You can also use these for drawing/inking as well since they're thin! I have really cheap sketchbooks with quite thin paper, and the ink does not transfer at all.
