Features

  • WORKS WITH THE COOKWARE YOU ALREADY OWN - IF A MAGNET STICKS, IT WORKS: The single biggest induction question, answered up front: any flat-bottom pan made of cast iron, enameled steel, or magnetic stainless steel will heat. Hold a fridge magnet to the base of your pan if it grips, you're set. Compatible base diameter: 4.7" to 10.2". Aluminum, copper, glass, and non-magnetic stainless will not heat (this is true of every induction cooktop, not a defect).
  • 16-STOP PRECISION CONTROL - 8 POWER LEVELS + 8 TEMPERATURE SETTINGS: Choose by wattage (200W, 500W, 800W, 1000W, 1200W, 1400W, 1600W, 1800W) for cooking style, or by temperature (140F to 460F) for recipe accuracy. Twice the granularity of typical 4- or 6-step portable burners small simmers stay gentle, sears stay aggressive, and you finally get a true 'low' that won't scorch a roux.
  • 4 ONE-TOUCH PRESETS + 4-HOUR PROGRAMMABLE TIMER: Hot Pot, Slow Cook, Boil, and Keep Warm presets handle the everyday work. The 240-minute countdown timer (settable in 1-minute increments) lets stews and broths run unattended much longer than the 60- or 120-minute caps on most portable units. Pause function temporarily holds your settings while you step away. Cooktop powers down automatically when the timer ends.
  • SAFETY FIRST DESIGN - CHILD LOCK, AUTO PAN DETECTION, OVERHEAT PROTECTION: Hold the lock button 3 seconds to freeze every input except off settings stay set, kids stay safe. The unit beeps and shuts off 60 seconds after a pan is lifted or replaced with incompatible cookware. An internal cooling fan extends component life. ETL listed for standard 120V outlets for sustained 1800W cooking, use a dedicated 15-amp circuit (best practice for any high-wattage appliance).
  • PORTABLE POWER FOR RVS, DORMS, SMALL KITCHENS & OUTDOOR EVENTS: Compact glass-top design slides into a cabinet, camping tote, or tight countertop corner. No open flame, no hot coil, no kitchen-warming heat induction transfers energy directly to the pan, so the surrounding surface stays cool and cleanup is a damp-cloth wipe. Add a dedicated burner, replace a broken stove during a remodel, or take real cooking to the RV, lake house, or tailgate.

  • Great for outdoors, portable Great for outdoors, portable
Cooks great. I use mine outdoors for frying things so I don't have to get the cooking smells, heat and grease particles inside. Can hold a huge pot. Heats so fast! Cleans easily. Because its induction it works outside even if there is a stiff wind blowing. If you have ever tried using a gas stove outside, you know wind is a problem. The first one I ordered was not working right, the fan didn't work so the unit was broken. The seller/ Amazon immediately sent me a new one and it works great! If you have never used one of these, the fan must work or it will overheat immediately. Yes that makes noise. You have to have pots that are steel or iron. Use a magnet to test your pots to see if they will work. I ended up buying all new pots and pans so I could use it. This definitely increased my start up price. ... show more

  • Over all, This was a great purchase.
Over all, This was a great purchase, that I've been using almost every day since I got it. I've waited for several months before I reviewed this to really put it through its paces, and to see how well it held up, and while there been a very small amount of heat distortion from a pan that must have gotten extra hot; the overall performance has been consistent, and has done the job I require it to. For the price, when bought with a warrantee just in case; its a hard deal to beat. it has a few peculiarities, for instance the number of heat settings is not based on degrees in a way you can just increase the heat 20 degrees or something. but it has preprogrammed heat levels, and they cover the temperatures most things cook at. you can adjust it after hitting a preset to take it up or down on the fly. as cooking with induction is a bit different than electric or gas, its actually helpful at finding the right temps to cook things just right. it also keeps using energy until you unplug it from the wall. but, that's easy enough to do. it will turn off when plugged in, but the digital display will still draw power, so keep that in mind. the stove top itself is glass, and doesn't get hot itself, though some residual heat can make the top hot, after something has been on it long enough that is hot. so don't do something dumb like touch it immediately after cooking something. that said, it also cools very quickly. All in all, its been a blessing in my life, as I hoped it would be, and allowed me to start eating good healthy food, much more consistently. I recommend giving it a try. The seller is a good seller, who was right on time, no shipping hassles, and communicative. She goes the extra mile in my experience. And that's a good thing. ... show more

  • If it's Mueller I Know it's High Quality.
I have had to acclimate to the power of this induction unit. Using a gas stove is slow and turns my pans black. This is great on everything but I suggest you stay with it for a second when you are guessing the right temperature you need. Tonight I boiled eggs and they boiled over three times and that takes real talent to mess up boiled eggs. I just couldn't get it low enough with the lid on it until I turned it down to 212. I discovered if I left the lid off it could boil at 260. It appears when you lid your boiling eggs it is going to affect the boiling temperature which somehow affects the burner and the digital heat setting. Moral, don't use a lid on water or when boiling etc. I did steam in a large pot w strainer w lid, and no problem there so maybe the pan size is the difference. Still learning on this one. I did note the surface had a plastic covering as one person said. I thought that comes off on some appliances but I'm going to be very careful w mine because electric stove tops scratch up easily. Just have to realize even if there's a problem this company is happy to accommodate. I got my brother an item. He had a small problem and no questions asked - he was sent another w/o even returning the first. Not sure why it says frequently returned but if you can't handle the very strong heat this plate makes please return it because its nothing to fool with. Im learning and I love an electric stove. I want to avoid gas because I come from a town where not liking gas is like buying a Ford when there's a Chevy plant in town. Its a natural gas town. Anyway, if you go into one of the very old homes you can smell gas odor just from the long use of it. I don't think using gas is safe to breathe though people swear by it. Also if you have a gas leak you can become accustom to the smell and not know you have a leak. I'd rather have an electric stove but in my area of CA gas is used more. This is an awesome product. I'm loving mine. I will still be careful though because it requires a careful person when you are dealing with such a powerful unit. Love Mueller products. They really sell powerful long lasting products. Thank you Mueller. ... show more

  • Well made
Well made. Works well, but there are limits to how much power is available in a standard electric outlet. Limits: Heating several quarts of water is slow. When using a large fry pan, it tends to heat the center of the pan more than the outside. I am in Florida, I used it when the kitchen was under construction and saved it for when we run on a small generator during power outages, which can be lengthly here. It fills my need and will likely last many years. ... show more

  • Nice
This induction cooktop exceeded my expectations. It heats up incredibly fast and cooks much quicker than my regular electric stove. The touch controls are simple to use, and I love the adjustable power and temperature settings for different types of cooking. The glass surface is smooth and very easy to clean, and the unit feels lightweight but sturdy. It’s perfect for small kitchens, RVs, camping, or adding extra cooking space during busy meals. The safety features like auto shut-off and child lock give extra peace of mind. Overall, it’s efficient, convenient, and a great value for the price ... show more

  • Gift idea? /Fantastic Induction Cooktop for Modern Cooking
I recently purchased the Mueller RapidTherm Portable Induction Cooktop, and I must say, it has worked great cooking Inside the house and I plan to use it while camping was the main reason I purchased mine. First off, the 1800W power and 8 temperature levels up to 460°F give you an immense amount of control over your cooking. Whether I'm simmering delicate sauces or boiling water for pasta, this cooktop offers precision that's hard to find in traditional stovetops. One of its standout features is how it can boil water super fast - I'm amazed at how quickly it heats up compared to my old stove. The LED display is clear and easy to read, making it straightforward to adjust settings on the fly. The automatic shut-off and pot detection features are brilliant for safety and energy efficiency. I've never felt safer using any kitchen appliance; it turns off automatically if no pot is detected, which is perfect for those moments when you get distracted. The child lock function is another thoughtful addition, especially for households with curious little ones. It gives me peace of mind knowing that the cooktop can't be accidentally turned on. I'm also a fan of the four pre-set programs for boiling, frying, heating milk, and keeping food warm. These have streamlined my cooking process, especially when I'm juggling multiple dishes. The design is sleek and modern, fitting beautifully into my kitchen decor. It's surprisingly lightweight and portable, making it ideal for small spaces or for taking to a cabin for a weekend getaway. Clean-up is a breeze since any spillage doesn't burn onto the surface like with traditional gas or electric burners. Just wipe it down, and you're done. However, the only negative I've noticed is the wattage; be aware of where you are plugging it into. The 1800W can be quite demanding on some circuits, so if you're in an older home or using it with other high-power devices, you might want to check your electrical setup to avoid blowing a fuse. In conclusion, the Mueller RapidTherm Induction Cooktop is not just a cooking tool; it's an upgrade to your culinary life. I recommend if you are cooking meat or anything else start with a low temperature especially if you are using butter so that you don't burn the butter fast this thing really heats up instantly it takes some time to master if you are used to only using gas stoves. But its worth the results the food turns out wonderful every time ive used mine. If you're looking for efficiency, safety, and precision in a compact form, this is definitely worth the investment for your kitchen or camping adventures would make a great gift as well. ... show more

  • Great addition to any kitchen
Use it for everything and it works great. Only thing I wish that was available was a second least hot setting. Sometimes 140 temp is not hot enough to cook something and the next setting is 212 which is boiling point and then things cook too hot so you have to move the pot on and off. Especially with stainless steel where things can get stuck very easily and quickly. It works really great, that's just my opinion/preferance. Price range is good, love the size, the settings, the safety features, and the fan. Boils very quickly when needed, and I just love that option! ... show more

  • Nice little hot plate
I bought this hot plate, because I didn't have a stove for a bit and was considering changing to induction. This thing is AMAZINGLY fast at boiling water. I timed it, and it boiled a gallon of water in less than 2 minutes. It is taking a bit of getting used to, but I really like it. There are a couple things that I don't appreciate. The first thing is, the tempature control could be more fine tuned. It jumps around in 40 and 50 degree intervals. Sometimes it is just a bit too hot and I turn it down and then it is a bit too cool, or vice-versa. You do have to make sure you have the correct type of cookware. If a magnet sticks to the bottom it will work. If you lift your pan you have I think 30 seconds to put it back on or it will shut off, unless you hit the lock button. It has a very low setting for keeping things warm, but I haven't used that yet. I like how it just heats the pot and really keeps the surrounding area cool, except for the spot where the pot actually was. I also like that it is small enough to take with you camping, tailgating or to an outside party. You will need a power inverter or generator if no plug is available. I am glad I bought this and super glad it works with cast iron, because I love to cook with that. It has been a nice introduction to induction cooking and I look forward to my new cooktop for my kitchen. ... show more
