So good for veggies but not good for hard Parmesan cheese. I felt like Chuck on Castaway trying to light a fire. Doesn’t work. Takes forever. Also the blades or whatever they’re called are very hard to switch out. I had to pry them off with a butter knife. I’m afraid I’m going to break one. I’m sure I will. When storing this Mandoline, there is no way to disable the blade. A box of several blades is included, but there is not enough space to store the last blade, and it must be in set in usable position on the Mandoline slide. Additionally, the depth adjusting slide (in the most upward position) is still below the blade. This means the blade is exposed and waiting to slice any nearby hands or fingers. Although the Mandoline works as expected, I'm in search of a way to isolate and disable the blade when not in use. ... show more
