The presence of splints on top and bottom offered better support for my hairline fracture. Long hook and loop strap length allows various degree of compression. The fabric is cushioned 'tho not moisture wicking. My wrist and palm got a bit sweaty after a few hours while outdoors. Comfortable to wear during sleep. Quality control may be hit or miss. This brace works well for me. I have other versions that have the softer material, which I honestly prefer. This has a bit of a plastic feel which I don't love. But that doesn't really affect how well this work in keeping my wrist straight and helping to ease pain. It's also easier to clean and just wipe off. I have been experiencing a lot of pain with carpal tunnel and tendinitis. This helps stabilize my wrist so it is less likely to hurt. I wear size 7 gloves and I have skinny wrists. I ordered size S/M in the Basic model. I find that wearing this loosely feels the best for typing and using my hand in general, and it still limits my range of motion which helps my wrist get some rest. For me, the main downside is that my wrist and hand got hot, and I have to take it off to let my arm breathe and cool down. Overall, I like it and I think it is helpful. I got this to help with carpal tunnel and it does provide a great deal of support. It is easily adjusted for a perfect fit and it feels good on. This brace fully immobilizes the wrist to enable healing. If you just need some extra support on your wrist, then this may be too much for you. But if you want to guarantee that your wrist doesn't move, then this is the perfect brace for you! ... show more

Got right and s/m size. Feels about the right size. Instructions on how to use on the box. Bit bulky (probably all ones like this will be roughly same size). Support wrist and restricts motion a bit. Fingers not affected. Sometimes it felt scratch or itchy. Wished the inside was more smooth. After wearing a while, took off and saw the marks on skin where this was on. Guessing that shows the pressure points which were mostly on back of hand (3 lines where the brace had some stiffer material inside) and that side of wrist. This brace is for the right hand and it's an L/XL. This brace is for carpal tunnel and tendonitis with a S curve to fit the palm of the hand. This wrist brace for Carpal Tunnel is a little bulky. But it does work. It takes a few times putting it on and off to get that down but once that is figured out, it goes on easily. I got the small lefthand brace and it works well. It does have a non-bendable piece (maybe a metal?) to keep the wrist stable. However, I could probably use it for my right hand too because while the piece on that side is more bendable, it still is able to keep the wrist stable. Once you have it on, it is comfortable and I could even put it on over my watch. The brace is made with a neoprene-like material except where the non-bendable pieces are and they are covered with a leather-like vinyl piece. The velcro strap is stretchable so you can make it as tight or as loose as you like it. It works for me! ... show more
