Worked excellently in my CPU cabinet that accommodated its "reverse motherboard connector" scheme. This is where the power and other cables usually attached to the topside of the motherboard are instead connected to the reverse, hiding them from view in certain specialized enclosures. It's an overall easier scheme for cabling up a motherboard and having less hassle getting GPU and other components (like CPU coolers) situated. The performance of the motherboard has been top notch, and I have configured and using it with all M.4 SSDs populated, set into a RAID10 configuration. Once set up and bootable, the BIOS accommodates a special accelerated MSI boot speed enhancement which reduces startup time to a minimum. The system has accommodated all port connections I wanted, from HDD to SSD and SATA to GPU and the various high speed USB connection systems. I have no want for more capabilities here. The system has undergone a number of changes and upgrades to RAM, GPU, SATA devices and so forth, and has proven to have great stability for all these operations. ... show more

Board is incredible! The ease of access with the connections being in the back, all the fan slots available. Tons of storage space, and it looks great too. For the price with the ease of installing, the board is hard to beat.

    • Needs a lot of work
I’ve gotten the motherboard around February and for some reason the motherboard appeared to be dead. I had a professional build my PC, but I cannot launch any games and it freezes every time I try to open up a game very disappointing. I can’t even return my item because it’s already way past the return policy very unfortunate but MSI needs to get their project zero motherboards together because it needs some serious work ... show more

I originally bought a different board and had to RMA it, ended up getting this one instead and man it's nice! So clean. I built I'm a compatible case (thermaltake tower 600) and the cutouts all match. So easy to build on and cable managing is a cinch. Couldn't recommend enough, also this one has 2 x USB 3.0 connectors which my last one didn't and that's awesome. ... show more

    • Still not a case that works 100% with this board
I have the Corsair 6500 X Case. The dual chamber makes great use of the reverse config of this motherboard. The only drawback is where they put the CPU power connections. They are where they always are but, the case places the HDD and SDD holder directly in front of the connection. Fortunately, I don't use HDD any longer, so I ran the cables through the cables needed through the space provided for one of the HDDs. The MB has plenty of storage hook-ups 3 M.2 slots as well as room for a number of SDDs. I work with high end games as well as graphix with 3dmax. The MB never gets hot, thanks to the heat sinks and their design. I can't think of an actual con for this board. ... show more
