I’ve been spending time with the MSI Stealth 18 HX AI, and honestly, it’s a monster of a laptop — in both power and size. The first thing that hit me was the screen. That 18-inch QHD+ panel at 240 Hz is just beautiful. Games look ridiculously sharp and fluid, but even outside of gaming — browsing, or just having multiple windows open. Its massive but yet portable if that makes sense. Performance-wise, it’s exactly what I expected from an Intel Ultra 9 275HX paired with an RTX 5080. Everything flies. I’ve thrown heavy games at it no stutter, no lag. Even with background stuff running, it never slows down. Laptop get warm but not hot, and the fans can definitely be heard when the GPU kicks in, but that’s the trade-off for this kind of laptop. I like that the design doesn’t scream “gamer.” The chassis looks sleek, almost professional. I’ve taken it into meetings/coffee shops without feeling out of place, and people usually don’t realize it’s a high-end gaming laptop. The downside — it’s big. Make sure you get a backpack that can fit at 18in laptop. I mainly use it docked at home, connected to a monitor and keyboard, but it’s nice knowing I can unplug and still have full desktop-level power if I need to. Battery life is what you’d expect: “OK”. I get maybe a couple of hours doing light work (4 to 5 hour, and much less if I’m gaming. Storage and memory are solid — 32 GB DDR5 and 2 TB NVMe give me more than enough space and speed Overall, this feels like the kind of laptop built for people who want it all and don’t mind the size or power draw. Im a truck driver. Was looking for something high end that was easier to take on the truck and back home. This thing delivers. It's thinner than other models with the same specs. After updates everything worked as intended. It is a a 1600 display and not 4k. The screen looks good. Lights are adjustable to how you want them. All my wireless things hooked up without issues. Now for the games. I play cyberpunk, Farcry games, elden ring, world of warcraft, and call of duty. All games play on the highest settings with good fps. It gets warm after awhile. It doesn't lift too far off a surface. I got a 50 dollar cooling pad to go with it and is perfect now. ... show more

This is NOT a 4k laptop like it says in the description The resolution is 2560x1600 Some of the key caps are too translucent they are meant to highlight certain keys but are too bright compared to the other keys All the side usb c ports are on the left side Otherwise I like the laptop and will keep it though I wanted a 4k one sound is pretty good ... show more

Even though it’s a high end gaming laptop, with a high end rtx gpu, the two usb-c ports that have the thunderbolt and dp function are only wired to the integrated gpu. Thus making it impossible to run vr headsets from the more powerful gpu.

They advertise this as having a 4k display but it actually only has a 2k display. You can get a laptop with an actual 4k display for not much more. The audio is also terrible with a Samsung Galaxy 10S tablet sounding better with more bass than this laptop that costs several times more! The legs on the bottom of the laptop are triangle shaped so they dig into your leg and create deep red and purple indentations. And the metal plate on the bottom gets so hot it turns you leg red! And that is just from watching videos! I had to put an aggressive fan profile on it to try and keep it from burning me. ... show more

My Three Cents: Man, my cousin is a huge gamer and saved up forever for a new laptop. He wanted something completely nuts that could just destroy any game. He was looking at this MSI Stealth 18 and the specs are just... insane. It's got that new Ultra 9 chip and an RTX 5080, which is basically the best you can get. Plus 32 gigs of ram and 2TB of storage. He was so pumped when he ordered it, I was like "dude for that much money it better make you breakfast" lol. So he's had it for a week and he's obsessed. First off, the 18-inch screen is massive, and he says the 240Hz makes everything look like butter. He's running all the newest games on totaly maxed-out settings and getting crazy high FPS, no lag at all. He's also super stoked about the 2TB drive, says he can finally have all his games installed at the same time and not have to delete stuff. He said the light-up keyboard is sick too. Honestly this thing is probly stronger than my desktop. He wont stop texting me about how fast it is. This laptop is fantastic! I love its slim profile, incredible screen, and comfortable keyboard for typing and gaming. The touchpad is okay, but I usually use a mouse. Regarding the comments about the loudness during gaming, they must be using the maximum fan setting. I don’t hear that noise when playing intense games unless I put the system in that mode. I appreciate MSI’s option to adjust the fan settings. I used it a few times to increase the frame rate. Overall, this is a fantastic laptop, and I hope MSI continues this lineup because I’ll definitely purchase another one in the future. ... show more
