  • A good, solid motherboard that performs well
Style: MPG Z590 GAMING PLUS
There are a million motherboards to choose from, but I chose MSI because I had an MSI graphics card and I wanted to ensure compatibility. On installation, the instructions and included software were very good. This MB even has a separate PCIE power supply to ensure that the high end graphic cards are properly powered. On installation, I had no problems. This MB is capable of overclocking depending on the CPU selected. It was easy to overclock using Intel's overclocking software. I overclocked a 3.5 GHz CPU to 5 GHZ with no stability problems. The only problem I had was that there wasn't a 2nd double USB connection which my Cosair 7000 D case had. There were plenty of USB connections though and I had no problem connecting all of my peripherals directly onboard. I run my PC 24x7 and have had no problems with windows 11. One thing to notice is that Windows keeps information about the MB and you probably will need to do a clean install. I tried to boot with my old Windows 11 and it wouldn't boot from it. There are some indicators on the motherboard that tell you that the CPU, memory, graphics, and boot ability are working properly. On my first attempt, it failed on boot. My only solution was to reinstall a clean copy of Windows 11. Make sure you have your activation key or you'll need to buy another. This board is a good deal and works flawlessly. Don't forget that you need a separate PCIE cable to go to the board for it to function properly. ... show more

  • High quality for a decent price
Style: MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS
I updated the BIOS to work with 11th Gen Intel, which saved me a good amount of money. What else can I say? It's a good motherboard that has those fancy covers on the VRMs and some of the M.2 slots and the IO connectors are good quality. BIOS is MSI's BIOS so works pretty easily. Solid ATX board.

  • Great motherboard, works with Future 11th Gen (2021 release Rocket Lake Intel CPU).
Style: MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS
Paired with the i3 10100 for only 99, you get an awesome bang for your buck with 16 or 32GB of ddr4 ram, and a RTX series video card... can run any game 1080p Maxed out settings, making it easily superior to the AMD 3600 in Proven benchmarks like Odin's Hardware comparison side by side videos. I also scored 50 off the normal price getting the amazon warehouse, it was literally brand new exactly how a new one is, ha! If you have an issue installing Windows 10 on a USB thumbdrive, try the usb 2.0 ports and also, you must make the installer inside of a Windows PC using Rufus, as a Linux USB iso of Windows 10 will give a corruption of drivers, making it useless to install Windows 10 at all. You must burn Windows 10 iso using Windows, and use the 2.0 usb port, on some systems! ... show more

  • Amazing motherboard with great audio quality and features
Style: MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS
I bought this motherboard because I needed a Z490 from a respectable brand, and well, based on online reviews, this was the best bang for my buck, and although there were lower-priced options, since I wanted a Realtek 1200 codec, for a good audio quality, I chose this, and I can say that I'm pretty satisfied. I love the audio quality that I get from this board, I don't hear any interference of any kind, the sound is clear, and the 7.1 audio is so sweet. The MSI Debug LED's are really helpful when troubleshotting. You have the option to connect a 8+4 pin for the CPU, in the case you want to overclock, and my i7-10700KF runs great with really good VRM's. The included I/O shield may be bulky for some but I like it. And, although I would have wished that more than one of the two M.2 slots had an included heatsink, which is not really needed, but it would have been amazing to get another one of those heatsinks, but of course, that must come at a premium. ... show more

  • Power Issues After 3 Days (Update)
Style: MPG Z590 GAMING PLUS
UPDATE: The seller allowed me to return and replace and promptly replied to make it right. Motherboard is solid when working. Defects happen, so I won’t hold it against the seller or MSI so long as it’s remedied. In this case it was remedied. I have a lot of experiencing building and repairing computers. My son finally reached the age where I could teach him to build his own. We walked through our PC build together and had everything running perfectly. We started noticing on the second day however that when the computer would go to sleep, it wouldn't come back on without shutting off the PSU first. On day 3 after the PC went to sleep, it permanently died. We of course went through all the normal troubleshooting steps. We replaced the PSU, reset the CMOS battery, attempted to jump the pins on JFP1 to bypass the switch and power the motherboard. Nothing. No debug status lights, no power, only sadness and assurance that the motherboard was the issue. Usually MSI products are solid so I rushed a replacement board for $50 extra for my son and I am hoping we simply got a bad board. Once the seller communicates if we can return the bad board, and we test out the new board, we will update the review. ... show more

  • Easy for Beginners and Good Manual
Style: MPG Z590 GAMING PLUS
I love this motherboard so much, all the pins were intact and it was my first time building a PC so I had guides up but I barely looked at them because the motherboard manual practically tells you everything you need to see! The writing is a bit small for me on the board but it has so many outputs plus the RGB lights is a pretty touch. Its been working really well (I'm using an intel i5-11400 and PNY RTX 3060) and I've had zero issues so far. I definitely would recommend it! ... show more

This is in ne of my GPU miners that has 4 rtx 3060s on it and it runs very perfectly. Been mining for a year now with that motherboard and it is truly great.

  • So far so good
Style: MPG Z590 GAMING PLUS
Upgraded from an MSI Z590A-PRO. Can definitely feel the difference between the two. Nice, subtle aesthetic design. Easy to install. Well written, well organized instruction manual. Lots of helpful diagrams, illustrations, and easy to read charts. I was never confused about where to plug in anything, or where to find specific information within the manual. Anything I messed up was because I didn't read the instructions carefully enough (FYI if you're installing multiple M.2 drives plus multiple SATA drives, read page 35 VERY carefully). Overall very happy with this so far. Only been about 8 hours but everything has stress tested out just fine using OCCT. ... show more
