  • Beast of a motherboard!
Size: EATX Style: MEG X670E ACE
I don't see a good valid reason to go with the God-Like version for twice the price when this motherboard has all you'll ever need and some more. Unless you have money to throw away and burn, or you just really like the looks (aesthetics) of the God-Like motherboard and the 90-degree angle of the connectors. If you install two memory sticks, use channel A2 B2 to populate them, I do not recommend using all four memory slots since AMD has issues reaching the higher memory frequencies when all four memory slots are populated. I have 64gb 2x32gb @6400mhz sticks, and the expo profile 1 works perfectly with super stability. To avoid a long boot up every time with this motherboard, just enter the bios, and on the advanced tab select Memory Context Restore to (Enabled). But note that every time you do any changes in the bios pertaining to memory, the motherboard will retrain the memory and you'll get Code 15 on the debug LED panel for almost a minute before the system boots up. So no, don't panic, your board is not defective, the code 15 is normal and seems to last forever when we desperately want the system to boot up. But once the initial memory training takes place, and the context restore is enabled, you'll be able to boot up as fast as any other system with ddr4 memory or Intel CPU. I have a Ryzen 9 7950X3D, and the only change I made on the bios to improve performance and thermals, was to actually undervolt the processor slightly, by going to PBO, set profile to manual, and then set the thermal throttle control to 80 (degrees) or even 75 if you don't want it reaching the 80, and then on the CPU curve optimizer set to all cores (negative) and type in 20, or 15 if 20 is not too stable. That will make the processor draw slightly less power, and run slightly cooler and faster. But like I said, having a good motherboard gives you a bunch of options that you might miss, with lower end boards. Another confusing thing about this board that may scare many people on the Windows 11 installation, is that the WIFI and Ethernet cards on this board are not natively supported by windows 11, so upon the first boot, you will not have internet access, to overcome this, you can either bypass the windows 11 online account requirement, or you can use an inexpensive plug and play wifi adapter or a USB to ethernet adapter. If you get a Gen 5 M.2 NVME SSD for your primary drive, get the Crucial T705, the speeds are insane, over 14k MB/s both read and write. And it runs fairly cool. Speaking of that, another feature I love about this board, is that I can easily swap M.2 NVME SSDs from the gen 5 socket next to the memory slots, I love to play with installations and do some custom Windows 11 Installations, and instead of testing them with a virtual machine on virtual box, I like to actually use another ssd and do a clean full system installation! I know this board is a little expensive, but it is worth it and runs very very well. ... show more

  • Great Premium Board
Size: EATX Style: MEG X670E ACE
While a top dollar option, this board delivers the value expected from such an offering. With cutting edge features and a surplus of connectors for fans, peripherals and USB if you are building an AM5 full tower this would be the board for you. Additionally with the concern of the SOC voltage interacting with the 7000 series chips the advanced bios features are useful to ensure that your brand new rig runs great from the word go. Finally the various additional features such as built in wifi 6 and m.2 expansion card means that this board is able offer incredible functionality and storage for years to come. ... show more

  • Good quality as expected love msi
Size: EATX Style: MEG X670E ACE
Pros: - you have everything you need and even more in the box - BIOS is great - Looks are great - Heavy and very sturdy. Cons: price - but you get what you pay for. I also wish the placement of power connectors were more robust. And also manual is less detailed than from years before - you need to know what you are doing to connect everything properly. Some terminals has no explanation or details in the manual. Overall Review: From specs to packaging and marksmanship, this is very quality and satisfying product. I would buy it again. I would recommend it to other people. I would consider other MSI MEG products based on my experience. ... show more

  • Defective board, wasted a day, and the box was clearly tampered with and NO HELP from Amazon
Size: EATX Style: MEG X670E ACE
Spent an entire day troubleshooting this board. Red and yellow diagnostic LEDs stayed on, and MSI support said a BIOS update might fix it. I updated the firmware but nothing changed. Swapped in an ASUS board (from B&H) and it came sealed with valid serial numbers clearly visible on the box and it worked immediately. The unsealed box had clearly been opened before, and the barcodes and serial number were covered. That’s suspicious, especially since MSI requires the serial for warranty (which I got off the motherboard itself). MSI confirmed the motherboard was 3 years old. I now suspect the vendor knew it was defective, sent it anyway, and then deliberately delayed my refund. Returned it, but it took nearly a month to get a refund. Lesson learned: avoid third-party sellers for critical components. This was not a new product, and the whole experience was a waste of time. Amazon can't be trusted to make things right. Had to escalate to my CC company to get satisfaction. ... show more

  • Lots of Great Features!
Size: EATX Style: MEG X670E ACE
I made my first high-end build earlier this year. I did extensive research on different boards, and settled on the MEG X670E ACE. The biggest draws for me were the number of USB ports, USB 2.0 headers, ARGB headers, M.2 slots, and the fact that it still has analog ports for my speakers (this was actually the deciding factor for me, as it meant I could still use my Logitech Z506 speakers). My old build had the Krait Gaming 3x, so I already have some experience with a solid MSI board, and this is the main reason I chose them again. Because the board offers so much, I was amazed by what I was able to fit into my build this time around. I was able to buy four M.2 drives, eliminating the need for a SATA SSD, and leaving that extra space for me to add in a number of controllers, fans, and a hub. I've got about 10 ARGB fans in this build, a ton of peripherals plugged into the ports (with many left to spare), and the built-in bluetooth and Wi-Fi save space as I don't have to buy cards for them. A lifesaving feature was the BIOS Flash button on the back. I am running AMD's 7950X3D, and knew ahead of time I would have to flash the BIOS for it to be compatible with the board. It was as simple as loading a compatible BIOS onto a formatted drive and hitting the button on the back (note that if you go this route, you'll have to flash without the CPU in the socket). The board also complements my case, and the dragon RBG logo looks pretty cool! All-in-all, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly consider MSI again if I build another PC in the future. ... show more
