  • Pretty great
A fantastic gaming laptop. I have the 300hz 1080p model. It performs great at anything I throw at it though unless you turn settings drastically down or playess demanding games you'll obviously not take advantage of the full refresh rate often. The biggest con continues with this series and that's port placement. Not a terrible problem if you always used wireless mice. But if you go wired and have a smaller surface it becomes more of an issue. ... show more

  • Portable Powerhouse
This laptop will run most new RTX enabled games between High and Ultra settings and maintain a stable 45-60fps. Titles that are not RTX enables will hold much higher fps, so if you prefer performance settings when you game, this laptop will crush it. I've not ran into game I couldn't run smoothly on near maxed out settings. Cyberpunk was a test a first, but they have updated it since, and now it runs buttery smooth. I highly recommend this laptop. ... show more

  • Great Laptop
I went with the MSi GS66 Stealth because I needed something professional looking that can do everyday tasks well as well as having the capabilities to be my main computer to play games on! It's an amazing experience and I'm more then happy with my purchase. I originally went with a razer, but found myself returning it as this company just seems to put more effort into longevity. (Specifically thermals) ... show more

  • Review after 2 years
Still runs good but laptop started having issues around a year ago. Its screen would start turn on and off and started having high temperatures after 6 months of use and audio issues, having issues didnt get me upset because understandable after a year and a half it starting to have issue is okay. However what got me upset was, I tried contacting around 1 year 6th month that it is having issues under warranty and neither Amazon, Adorama or MSI would give me any solution to do. All three did throw the blame to each other and now it is on 2 year 2 months period so nothing can be done ... show more

  • Great computer, Broken speakers
Love the laptop, don't love that half of the speakers crap out and then randomly restart. This shouldn't be happening on a new laptop... My guess is that the seller is reselling refurbished machines. Luckily its still covered by warrantee with the original manufacturer, but I shouldn't have to deal with that for a new computer. My suggestion- look for other sellers first. ... show more

  • Great laptop for gaming, fans are loud and the design of the lid isn’t convenient for opening.
I mostly use the laptop for gaming and portability, both of which it excels at. I haven’t experienced any noticeable frame rate issues and only one small technical problem running even the most demanding games I have, the one problem being that many games need to be run in windowed borderless mode or else they won’t display correctly. Battery life isn’t an issue for me as I am always somewhere I can plug in the laptop, so I can’t speak much for that. The laptop has a decent but not perfect weight, but with its specs you shouldn’t expect much lighter. My only main issues with the laptop are that first of all, there is nowhere to grip the laptop to open it. I have to work my fingers to get between the screen and keyboard before opening it. Second, the laptop comes preinstalled with MSi’s Dragon software, which hasn’t caused any issues for me aside from repinning itself to my taskbar no matter how many times I remove it. Finally, the laptops fans are quite loud, something that I read about before purchasing. There are options to reduce the fan speed and thus the sound, but then the laptop runs noticeably hotter. When gaming with headphones, the fans aren’t an issue, but I can imagine if you were in public or without headphones it would be rather annoying. ... show more

  • I wouldn't recommend buying it!
It has powerful specs. But it is not reliable. I used it for 3 days and the screen started to flash, on light tasks including browsing and online streaming. Even on League of Legends, the FPS is not so stable. Can't believe for a 3070 laptop, I cannot fully enjoy playing league.

  • Terrible excuse for a laptop
This is not a good machine. I returned this and purchased an Alienware m15 r4 with exactly the same specs. The m15 r4 is better in almost every conceivable category. This machine is extremely loud (even compared to laptops in its class) and for all that commotion, you get only middling performance. The M15 r4 beat the pants off of it in head-to-head benchmarks, and with much less noise. ... show more
