  • The best gaming card for the money if you want to max out your titles
Excellent card for the price. The 16gb VRAM is unbeatable. The card is built on Blackwell 2.0 architecture, so it supports DDR7 memory which is incredibly fast and DLSS 4.5. Maxes out every game i have on Steam with ease, it kills gaming at 1440p and 1080p. I have not trued 4k yet. Titles like Death Stranding 2, Silent Hill f and CoD Modern Warfare 3 look absolutely stunning and peak. I will be keeping this card. Quiet and easy to install. Built very well, does not require extra support. ... show more

  • Expensive, but my local LLM is now bearable. Expensive, but my local LLM is now bearable.
I bought this specifically to run gemma4:26b in Ollama with Claude-CLI, and it's working great. It's not online speed or quality, but for much of my daily development work, I've been able to get it to do what I need it to do completely locally and in a bearable amount of time. I've also tried some video generation using ComfyUi. While doable, that's still really slow. A 5 second video takes about 5 minutes for most of my tests. It also doesn't seem linear. A 10 second video takes more like 20 minutes - if it manages to not run out of memory first. I only have 32 GB ram, so that might be the limiting factor. I think we're still a ways out from being able to create long form videos locally with AI, at least with only 16gb memory on card. As for the card itself, it's kind of boring, which is to be expected I suppose. All of my stuff has RGB on it, and this doesn't, so now there's a black hole in my case that used to have RGB on the video card too. That being said, for the current prices, that's what I expected. ... show more

  • Solid GPU for AI Workloads in Homelab Server Build
I picked up the MSI RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Ventus 2X OC Plus for my Home Assistant and Frigate server running on an i7 system, and it has been a strong performer so far. The 16GB of GDDR7 memory is the real selling point here, especially for handling object detection and AI workloads where VRAM matters more than raw gaming performance. Installation was straightforward. The dual fan Ventus design is reasonably compact and fit into my case without any clearance issues. The card runs cool under sustained loads and the fans stay quiet during normal operation, which is appreciated in a machine that runs around the clock. Frigate processing has been smooth with multiple camera streams, and the card handles the workload without breaking a sweat. The Blackwell architecture seems well suited for this kind of inference work, and having 16GB of memory means plenty of headroom for larger models or additional streams down the road. Build quality feels solid and the three DisplayPort plus HDMI 2.1b outputs give plenty of flexibility if you ever repurpose the card for a desktop. MSI did a nice job keeping this card practical without unnecessary bells and whistles. Good option for anyone building a home server that needs GPU acceleration without going overboard on cost. ... show more

  • Local AI is a thing. Games are not.
Upgraded from a 1070ti. Most games ran fine with my 1070ti. Ray tracing is a joke. You wont really see anything noticeable with ray tracing enabled unless you specifically stair at stuff.. Personally I dont spend much time staring at a puddle in game. Perhaps in a couple more years, when developers use ray tracing as a standard you might see some difference between how light cast is developed. As for the fps difference, I get about 20 to 60 fps difference depending on the game.Since most games already ran at 60 fps this was a non issue. For local AI it has been a game changer. The models I can use are much better. Image generation is 10 times faster. I knocked one star off for the price. We shouldnt have to pay this much for a VRAM upgrade and 50 percent fps increase. In reality, I only wanted the VRAM upgrade for AI. My games ran fine on the 1070ti. Paying this much for a VRAM upgrade felt incomplete. At least the instruction sets and VRAM will cover the next couple of years before I have to "upgrade" again. As per the fan sound review posted here, this card is silent with no coil wine. Even at full load its quiet. Im not sure why anyone would say say otherwise. ... show more

Works great for my home Ai lab. Will buy another if the price stays the same.
