I bought this graphics card when building my PC back in 2021, 5 years later and this bad boy is still running just as strong as the day I got it. I can still get a 60-120fps on graphics demanding games and have never had a game I couldn't run decently with this. Definitely great value, but probably not future proof anymore with the rising demands of technology. Will always be an all top favorite card for me

I appreciate MSI’s Twin Fan design; the card runs remarkably cool even under load, and the fans stay whisper quiet during everyday use. Gaming performance is what really shines here. At 1080p, everything I’ve thrown at it runs flawlessly, and even at 1440p, it handles modern AAA titles with smooth frame rates when settings are balanced. The 12GB of VRAM gives some future-proofing, especially for newer games that are more memory hungry. Creatively, it’s also been useful—Adobe apps and 3D modeling software benefit from the extra horsepower. The 1080p Indestructible Workhorse

While there are newer cards on the market (like the 40 or 50 series), the RTX 3060 12GB has aged like fine wine. It is powerful enough to handle modern AAA titles at high settings and is practically "overkill" for esports titles like Valorant, CS2, or League of Legends. The Highlights The 12GB VRAM Advantage: This is the card's "secret weapon." While the more expensive 3060 Ti and 3070 only have 8GB of VRAM, this card has 12GB. This allows you to crank up texture settings in 2026 titles without hitting the "stuttering" wall that newer, lower-memory cards face. MSI Cooling Excellence: MSI’s Twin Frozr (or Ventus) thermal designs are top-tier. Even under a heavy gaming load, the card stays remarkably quiet and rarely exceeds 65°C-70°C. DLSS Support: NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) is a lifesaver. If a new game is too demanding, turning on DLSS "Quality" mode gives you a massive FPS boost with almost no loss in visual quality. Power Efficiency: It only requires a single 8-pin power connector and a modest 550W power supply, making it an easy upgrade for older systems. Fast for CUDA, tons of memory, can be used as a secondary "compute-only" card

I run a version of Linux and while I love my AMD card, and despite having very good GPU compute benchmarks, it is a pain to get ROCM working and many CUDA programs do not support it directly or indirectly. I'm stuck using either OpenCL or PyTorch for ROCM. SO, I paid a bit to get this Nvidia card. I use it in parallel with my AMD card, where the AMD card is plugged into the monitor and it runs 2d and games, and the Nvidia card sits idle much of the time. However, any time I need to run any CUDA code, it's very easy to do so. This is working very well for almost everything. The only issue is that Davinci Resolve is a bit finicky about it until you change some things. Also, for such setup you need a modern, beefy PSU with two full PCI-E/GPU power connectors. So my review isn't really about playing games. For CUDA, this card is quite fast and it has a ton of memory, which is very useful for certain code. Some stuff I've used actually uses 8-10GB of memory, so the 12GB is perfect for me. The TDP is high at 170W but it never runs full-speed at the same time as my AMD GPU so it's fine. It's either/or. The specs are CUDA Cores: 3,584, RT Cores: 28, Tensor Cores: 112. On paper it's not the "fastest" Nvidia card in this class (has a bit fewer cores than some), but it has more memory than some comparably-priced cards which makes it overall more useful, to me anyway. When certain compute loads (like Sammieroto) are running on my CPU, they can take over an hour. On my RDNA2 AMD card, they took maybe 10 minutes (again, Pytorch ROCM isn't quite "there" yet). On this card, they take maybe 3-5 minutes or something. It's pretty amazing.

Great upgrade from my 1060 6 gig but seems to run hot

UPDATE: After finally getting the video card. I was able to benchmark and get a great improvement over my 1060 6 gig. Also, the deault fan settings were to low and resting temps was in the 60c range. After ajdusting the fan speed to 80%, the GPU temps dropped about 19 degree. Also not sure why my directx 10 and 11 scores are below average, but dx9 and 12 are way above average. Also, overall benchmarks of my system increased from about 12000 to 14500. which is a decent improvement. And it is great all of the setting you can adjust, I feel like the feualt fan speed should be higher for normal users who dont want to have to twek the video card setting. Over a great card and upgrade. . I have very happy with the performance increase from my 1060 6ig. I have basically doubled a majority of FPS across the board. My normal benchmark with the 1060 was above 12000 and with the 3060 It is above 22000. great performance gains. Also, I noticed this card runs quite a bot hotter than my 1060. The default setings put the standard temp at idle to about 60 degree c. I increased th fan speed and Temps have gone down about 10 degrees at about 49. I do have to still optimize the air gflow in my case as this card has iincereased my overall temps in the system Original order from Amesie was a Complete scam, received a lens cover instead of the card. The ups store said I was the second person in the past couple days with the same issue. At least Amazon is aware. Hopefully they take this seller down.

Great GPU for running 9-14B models!

Great product, works exactly as expected for my local setup. Quiet, handling mid to low tier models locally. It fit in the case we bought, but barely - we had to get an extra attachment to make it work. Might be good to measure if you're unsure.
