  • This thing is a BEAST!
Size: Boost Clock: 1860 MHz Style: RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO Pattern: Single
This thing is a BEAST. It has handled everything I've thrown at it from MK11, Starcraft with full setting and 2000 units, Black Desert at maximum ultra setting and everything else. I can stream and play games at the same time at high quality no lagging this card is beautiful (also literally speaking) the RGB on it is subtle but pretty. Forwarning this card is HEAVY. It comes with a under bar to help hold it up, it hold mine up pretty well, though some might want to put a little stand underneath. I would NOT recommend just letting the card hold itself with just the motherboard. Be very careful when installing, I recommend installing this card with the case on its side. Also heads up this card is LONG. So long that I had to leave a fan off of the cpu liquid cooler vent becuase my case was about a half centimeter too small to fit both, so bear that in mind if you have a smaller case. Overall I was nervous about getting this type of graphics card cause a lot of reviews say bad things about them crashing, I got a warranty plan for this just in case anything does happen in the future. But I'm glad to say that so far (*knocks on wood*) this card works beautifully and quietly. It's actually really quiet which is another plus. Super happy with this card. :) ... show more

  • HUGE GPU but fast
Size: Boost Clock: 1860 MHz Style: RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO Pattern: Single
works great with any game you throw at it (obviously) can handle any game maxed out with great frame rates. (4k 60fps+ 1440p 144hz-165hz) so far i only tried out modern warfare and rainbow six seige but very impressive. i use to own a 1080ti before this but this seems faster..benchmarks show similiar fps but you can feel and see less lag with better frametimes in my opinion. i honestly dont think 2080ti is worth that extra several hundred for only 10-15% better performance. I'm even happier just owning this, knowing it's no slug. if youre a 1080p gamer then go with the 2070...unless you want 144hz at ultra, rendered at 125-150% resolution scale. I know battlefield would run great with this too but i still have yet to test it. BTW this card is the biggest card i ever owned..at least 33% bigger than any reference card i had in the past..not just length but height too. fit inside my mid tower corsair 400c case but only leaves like 2 inches of clearance for a fan. ... show more

  • Great Card
Size: Boost Clock: 1860 MHz Style: RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO Pattern: Single
Works excellent will be buying a 2nd one due to needing P2P with NVLINK. Sold my pascal TitanX's to get these. Using it with Ubuntu 18.04 and Threadripper 2950x. , Initially, the card only came up in 640x480 until I loaded the latest Nvidia driver. A quick google shows others have the same issue. I'm not using it for gaming, so have no inputs on any of that. Just added my 2nd card, one minor issue which may be MOBO related (Asrock Fatality X399 Gaming), have a dual 4K monitor setup, the monitors work using either card, BUT, with two cards installed the bios boot screen only shows up on PCIe slot 1. if only one card installed, it shows up no matter what PCIe slot you put the card in. but no big deal. so at ambient and nothing much going on the card with video runs about 9C over the other card. still no big deal. Attached a few pics of a utility I wrote that shows what temps do when the Threadripper 2950X is maxed out. using a Noctua NH-U14S with dual fans for Threadripper cooling, no issues. Update, so I have had these cards running 24/7 for 10 months now and zero issues, both have worked perfectly. Have seen a lot of 1-star reviews on issues with failed cards, maybe I got lucky, but mine have worked perfect. ... show more

  • I honestly want my money back after the first botched RMA job.
Size: Boost Clock: 1860 MHz Style: RTX 2080 SEA HAWK X Pattern: Single
Probably the worst graphics card you can buy. It runs hot, crashes constantly, and it you call MSI they'll gladly tell you it's your fault. Attempted an RMA but was denied due to "plastic" under the heat sink. Plastic.. that was on the graphics card in the box.... that you can't peel off because it's shrink wrapped around it. They then didn't replace the "voided warranty" sticker on my heatsink screws so now I can't return it period without being denied RMA again. The GPU constantly runs above 90 C even for minor games like RuneScape and on a 1440p monitor. Absolutely abysmal temperatures are even recorded at idle, hovering around 50 C. Ambient room temperature is 70 degrees and the airflow in my case is tremendous. FPS drops are also a constant issue. You'll turn down every setting known to mankind and you'll still get maybe 30-40 frames on low. All of my other temperatures are within normal and some even below normal operating temps so I know it's nothing else with my hardware. I can pop in my old 1070 and run games without issue. I would not recommend MSI in any form. The product is terrible and MSI refuses to even remotely assist after botching the first job. I quite honestly want to be refunded as the first RMA was botched and MSI has left me unable to RMA my card further. ... show more

  • Worth the saving!
Size: Boost Clock: 1860 MHz Style: RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO Pattern: Single
I broke my founders edition gtx 1070 on accident and didn't know if I could fix it so I decided to look for a new gpu. Saw the new line up of rtx line up. I. HAD. TO. HAVE. THIS! I solely wanted it for its looks alone. Yes, I did know it was powerful card and I use it for 4k gaming or 1080/2k gameplay while streaming certain games without manually overclocking it. It hasn't gone passed 140~f. It is beautifully built so that there is space for air to get through, made with great materials like that aluminum back plate and beautiful heat pipes which make this graphics card surprisingly cooler than my nivida founders gtx 1070. It also passively cools. Meaning the fans don't turn on till a certain temperature reaches which has only done that once for me. Still haven't figured out how to change the rgb colors to anything other than the stock pastel rainbow cycle. I don't have a problem with it though because its why I wanted it originally. It even comes with a bracket to put under it to help the gpu sag beefy cards get which makes mine perfectly straight. I bought this solely with my own money from working my butt for Christmas. I got it late November and writing this review now to let you all wanting to consider this card a chance to know a true experience from a short period of time. Although there are many different cards you can get out there this one will last you a good bit if you think saving is worth it. I sure think it is. ... show more
