  • Coming from a R9 280X, this card is shockingly good
My old R9 280x card was getting to the point where many new games refused to run on it, and those that did had to be played at 720P low details. It also consumed a ton of power (250W). The last straw was when I bought Doom Eternal, which, at launch, supported the 280x reasonably well, but the latest patch made the graphics glitch out. So, fed up, I went looking for a replacement. While everything is still hugely overpriced, I found that the RX 6600 XT was generally considered one of the best bang-per-buck cards out right now and it's only rated at 160W. It's also a physically much shorter card. Reviews say its 2-3 times faster than my old card, but they really understate it. Maybe it's only 2-3x faster in artificial benchmarks at low resolutions or something, but I can now play Doom Eternal at High or Ultra detail WITH raytracing at 1080P at a solid 60fps. My old card had graphical glitches and could barely play it at 720p low detail and ~30fps. I think the core grunt of the GPU is not much more than 2-3x my old card, but the addition of tons of newer features, newer drivers, and more than twice the VRAM allows it to perform an order of magnitude better in more recent games. It also has true DX12 support (the r9 card did not) so everything will run on it regardless of performance. It's quieter, runs cooler, can run the latest games maxed out (at 1080p anyway) and has yet to give me any trouble, but I did just get it yesterday... We'll see how reliable it in the coming months. I don't plan to mine or anything, so hopefully it will last me years, since I can't justify spending hundreds on a video card very often. ... show more

  • Great performance, great temps, great delivery... all great
The Graphic Card arrived a week erlier, it came in original box, with all protections and looked like new. I expected a big improvement as I come from a r9 290, and it didn't disapoint. Temps are very low, and can tune the fan to 50% max for lowering the nois level. Accually, the other fans are the noisy in comparision. PSU, case, radiator, etc. Great value GPU and great seller. ... show more

  • Fantastic Budget 1080p/1440p GPU at $320
At this moment, AMD mid range cards are much better price to performance compared to NVidia cards. This might change when the RTX 40 series cards launch, but atm, AMD cards are a way better value. Running 3d Mark Time Spy, the card reached the advertised 2000Mhz Memory Clock with an average of 1989Mhz. The clock frequency had an average 2509Mhz which is right in between the advertised gaming and boost clock, and a below 2000rpm, the fans were tolerable when playing with speakers. The one con is when the fans hit 2000+ rpm they start to rattle. By default the fans would ramp up to 2300 rpm while bench testing. This was very easy to fix, by using AMD's software you can limit the max fan speed to 70% which will cap the fan rpm just below 2000. The side effect is that the stock gpu ran about 2 degrees hotter, which is still below 70c and gives some room for overclocking. If you wear headphones while gaming, the rattle might not even be an issue for you. ... show more

  • Works well.
I've been using this GPU for about a couple years and still works fine!

  • Good for budget, bad for bugs
It's a solid card that gives 2K performance at an entry price, but unfortunately, the purchase is leaving more of a sour taste in my mouth the longer I have it. It's not a tragedy of a card, it'll do what you want it to, but the software from AMD is just so hit or miss. I originally had issues with not being able to use sleep mode on my PC because the card wouldn't wake back up with the rest of the system. Overclocking is not able to be done at all because I guess they don't trust their users to not fry their cards, all you get is their in house undervolting and or "overclocking" tool, the latter of which feels like it does nothing. As nice as scaling solutions can be, FSR is usable on competitors, DLSS and all of Nvidia's stuff is not. DLSS looks far superior compared to the current FSR, and I can't ignore that. If you absolutely need a card /right now/ it's a fine card, but you could save up the extra 60-100 and get a large performance boost and better suite of tools from a 4060 Ti. ... show more

  • Great card for a good price.
MSI makes a great graphics card. I understand that there are other cards now that beat this one out. but if you are upgrading from an older card, or have an older system, this is a great card to use. It handles 1080p gaming like a champ. I wouldn't try anything higher with this card unless you want a bottleneck. It's quiet and the fans only turn on under heavy loads. Even then, you can barely hear the fans. If you can get this on sale, pick it up. ... show more

  • Quality card for a fairly good price.
For $360 its a steal, easy to install it has quiet fans. The temps on this card very cool as well. I would recommend this over the rtx 3060 which are still over MSRP. Can play most games on ultra setting with 1080p resolution without a problem. Its is also capable to playing games in 1440p.
