    • Connector was wired backward
Battery arrived well packaged and in good shape. However, upon testing on a laser diode I routinely use for this purpose, it would not power the diode. Assuming it was completely drained, I was about to place it in a lipo charger when I noticed the leads were wired backward in the connector. Using a blade to gently pry the plastic notch on each lead and remove, I managed to swap them back with little issue and the battery was able powered my laser diode just fine. I was looking to upgrade a device that had a soldered-in single-cell 650mAh LiPo battery that runs out too quickly. I wanted to have a drop in replacement that I could swap out with other cells so I needed a LiPo cell with built-in charge management and a polarized connector already attached, plus it had to be within certain dimensions so it would fit into the available space. I chose this cell because it has over 3x the original capacity, an attached JST-PH 2.0 connector, charge management, and most importantly the size was pretty much the largest I could find that would still fit into the space available. This seller carries a huge variety of sizes from this manufacturer at great prices so it was actually pretty easy to find options. I also picked up a slightly smaller 1300mAh battery in case this one was actually too big but as it turns out this one was fine. The hardest part was actually adding the JST-PH connector to the device - this battery is so large that there was almost no place left to fit the connector! After figuring that out the battery went in easily and the device powered up as expected. The device charges the battery, maintains battery level indication, etc. just like it did with the original cell. Obviously at over 3x the original capacity it takes longer to charge and lasts a whole lot longer. Very happy with this battery! ... show more
