This art set is impressively comprehensive without feeling like it was assembled by someone checking boxes on a marketing spreadsheet. Everything has a designated spot in the faux leather zippered case, making it easy to see what’s included and just as easy to put everything back when you’re done. Organization is one of those features you don’t appreciate until you’ve spent ten minutes looking for that one blue pencil that mysteriously vanished. The kit includes a generous assortment of colored pencils, graphite pencils in multiple hardnesses, charcoal pencils, metallic and watercolor pencils, blending stumps, brushes, an eraser, extension holder, and a small water brush. It even comes with several practice coloring sheets, which are a nice addition for someone who wants to start drawing right away. The pencils arrived pre-sharpened, and the cores appear centered with no obvious cracks or breakage. Colors lay down smoothly with decent pigmentation, while the graphite pencils cover a useful range for sketching and shading. The case itself feels sturdy, the elastic loops hold everything securely, and the zipper opens and closes smoothly. Given the set up, the set is best suited for beginners, students, hobbyists, or anyone wanting an all-in-one drawing kit. Professional artists may still prefer their favorite premium pencils for finished work, but as a portable set or a gift, this checks a lot of boxes. I picked up this 81-pack drawing and sketching set to have a robust variety of art supplies on hand, and it has exceeded every expectation. I got this for my daughter, and she absolutely loves it. She enjoys drawing and coloring, and this kit gave her everything she needed to jump right in without having to buy supplies separately. Wow! I can't believe how nice this set is for the price. I didn't expect much considering how cheap it was, but it looked like a fun set and the case looked really convenient to have for trips with my family and nieces. This kit comes with everything for mixed media drawings and paintings. Of course, they're not going to be the highest quality, but all the tools really get the job done. There are watercolor pencils, brushes, charcoal and graphite, tools for sharpening and blending... Even things I never really used until I took classes in high school! Which makes this an even more impressive set for my nieces to learn and create with! Eventing down to the seller's thank-you note made it feel like a lot of thought and care was put into making a practical set. The case is really nice, folds out easily, zipper and elastics feel sturdy. All of the pencils sharpen easily and well with no breaks! The eraser also does a good job of not smudging. An absolute hit and would make a great gift for the budding little artist in your family!

I've been revisiting (adult) coloring books and found myself lacking colored pencils, so when I saw this sketching set I was intrigued. It's combination sketching and coloring, all pencil versus kits I looked at that include some combination of paint, crayon, or marker. Perfect for my needs! As someone who is only just dusting off their artistic side, there is truthfully more in this kit than I currently know what to do with. For strictly coloring, however, I'm more than pleased at the assortment in colors and types of color pencil (the metallic ones, while subdued, give a nice glittery effect when looking at the page for instance). Overall, at this pricepoint, I think this is an awesome budget kit, more-so if you're bringing it on the go with how sturdy and neatly organized the storage case is.
