    • easy to use but not enough power for metals
get 20W instead of 2W if your applications are metals. you can still can shallow depth if you keep repeat the process (say 100 times). Note: better result on hard metal like stainless steel. On silver there is very easy to remove marks due to shallow depth and soft metal. The software is straight forward, when you enter correct parameter (come with in the manaul) you are start to go. When you in right focus, the laser sound can be heard clearly. If focus is slightly off there will be no sound. ... show more

Theinstructions and information tu run the machine needs to be more clear and by steps so people with minimal knowledge can follow them. Haven't been able to use it as I haven't been able to print.

I had everything set up in under 10 minutes including the driver and launching the included software with the laser. It's really nice that I don't need to make any separate purchases to use it. The software is set up different than what I'm used to, but not difficult to figure out. I love that you can have it highlight the engraving area before you start. It's a huge time saver on lining up your project. The instructions include settings for most materials and slowing it down works best getting your image to show up. On plastic, set your speed to 500 and 100 percent power. For the metal dog tags, I ran it at a speed of 100 and 100 percent power. This little machine is super fast. It takes only a few minutes to engrave. I'm going to enjoy using this and can't wait to try more projects with it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. WOW. I have recently had in interest in laser engraving and was excited to receive this device. Knowing absolutely nothing about how to engrave, this was extremely easy to setup and start. Everything came in a very nice and thick foam case. Setting up the device was very easy; took it out of the case, but on the table, flipped up the main arm and tightend the bolt in back with included allen wrench. Placed the laser on the top of the arm and aligned it to the 4 rounded nubs on top and tighted it down the the thumb-twisted screw. Installed the power cord and the included usb cable. I then plugged the usb cable into my Windows 11 laptop and installed the included usb-disk that had all of the software included on it. I turned on the laser and removed the safety cap that was covering the laser lens, and my laptop picked up on the device and asked for the drivers to be installed, which was easy to find on the usb-disk drive. Once installed, I started the program and followed the short instructions that were included with the engraver. Just starting out and knowing nothing I figured I would try and test using the default settings and only text, and I must say it was very easy. I decided on engraving my new puppies name onto an old knife and it worked out really nice. From opening the box to finishing the engraving, total time was about 30 minutes. There are a massive amounts of adjustments and settings that allow you to engrave massive amounts of text sizes, fonts, rotations, etc. and that is not including the massive amount of images that you can do to. This machine is very fast, clean, and easy. Includes all of the screws needed, different types of dog tags, holder, marker plates, etc. I compared this to the speed of the dog tag engraving device at my local pet store and this device was so much faster. I cannot wait to really understand what I am doing and start making engravings on other items. Super excited and highly recommended. ... show more
