Overall, I'm so glad I installed this kit and it was a relative breeze to do so. My only complaint is that the correct timing of pressing the lock button on the remote 3x to activate the system can be a bit touchy and there's a specific interval needed between presses to get the system to work. S Installation: instructions fairly straightforward, just had to watch the video at the included link. The most stressful parts were the 2 required splices in my case, the TPMS interrupt and then the single splice to connect a wire to the (-) of the alarm system. Cutting into vehicle wiring directly as a someone who is skilled at DIY-level electrical work was still a little nerve wracking, considering the sensitivity and complexity of vehicle electrical systems, but I got it done. The rest of the wiring harness plugins were very easy to do, just note your vehicles OBD port is actually replaced by the one on the wiring harness in this kit where it is mounted in the dash. The wiring is tight but it fits fine in the empty space behind the component panel to the bottom left of the steering wheel. Definitely worth the money. Function: Works most of the time on the first try, but pressing the lock button too quickly won't activate the system and it sometimes takes a few tries to get the right timing, which is a little annoying.

Update: After having it hooked up and working for 3 months my fiancé had a new battery installed and the unit no longer works. I tried to reprogram it and the red light just stays on. This produck is junk. I bought this to put on my fiancés 2016 toyota corolla. The instructions provided gave very little instructions on how to perform the install. Like many others before me, I used Google and found a YouTube video made by an installer to see how it should be wired up, and what connections should be made. It is a very simple install with proper instructions, however, the manufacturer did not provide these so I have rated this low. The instructions for the programing need work for sure. I just finished installing it and may look into the remote app down the road. As of right now it is working properly I think. The instructions do not explain anything well, so I'm just guessing all the clicking and having to hold the lock button on the third click is normal. I'm really disappointed on the lack of information on this product.

Product works as expected. Instructions are online but the visuals do not really help. Had to go and watch YT videos as a guide. I'm no expert working on cars but had the tools and took me 2 hrs to complete.

It's handy for the cold mornings or hot afternoons, depending how you set your climate control. Install is relatively straightforward. I recall stumbling through the setup post-install but it wasn't anything major.
