Feel free to take this with a grain of salt, since this is really just my first impression(s). As someone who is using this solely to listen to music, it does exactly what I need it to do. It works with Bluetooth, and the sound is good, though it doesn't go super loud. I've seen other reviews about the menu lag and there's a little bit of that, but not enough to change my overall opinion. I'd say that its greatest selling point is the price, especially given how much storage you get (I bought the 120 GB one). All in all, I'm pretty happy.

I just wanted a distraction free mp3 player for work, this thing is perfect. The battery life is insane (going on day 3 now - I do keep the volume quite low). I had intentions of installing rockbox on it, but found it not needed. The stock OS is perfectly fine for my needs, but some fancy folks may need more sophisticated features. It works great, the music sounds fine, the battery life is awesome, and the buttons feel great. I love this thing, sincerely. Why did we ever move away from mp3 players?....

This is an awesome little mp3 player. It checked off all my boxes of looking for a player that supports and play flac files while also bringing back the nostalgia form factor and feel of classic iPods. I will give a warning that the screen is very fragile and scratches super easy. I put it in my pocket and it already had some deep scratches so beware and consider a screen protector. This isn’t the best mp3 player out there but it fit all my needs and for its price I definitely recommend this!

The Innioasis Y1 MP3 music player is an excellent replacement for my iPod. I have been a long time iPod user and find the controls on the Innioasis intuitive to use. Easy to load content and supports multiple media file types.. Long battery life. Packed with features like Bluetooth, built in FM radio and radio recording. Plays audiobooks, photo display, . The sound quality is excellent especially when played thru a Bluetooth speaker. Even has a built in speaker that is a convenient option when you don't want bother with headphones, albeit at a reduced sound quality.. Holds a massive amount of content. The solid state drive ensures that content loads rapidly and has been reliable. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Innioasis Y1. I am happy to have found an iPod replacement that offers so many advances in features and function.

Seems like it would be cool if you get one that works. Mine did not work out of the box. Oh, it'd turn on and it'd connect to the computer. Oh, sure, on the computer, it would appear as though the files were transferring. But then when I'd eject it after completing the transfer, it would say that no music was loaded. Tried a bunch of different things I'd seen suggested online. Have also reached out to the company (will update if they respond and are able to help, but can't say I have too much faith). Definitely feels cheap. Wish it were a sturdier material and had a little more heft to it, but that is something I could definitely live with. But obviously, an MP3 player that will not recognize, ya know, the MP3s I put on it is kind of something I can't really live with, ya know?

They just don't make mp3 players like they used to. Whatever is out there is just too complicated in terms of being too feature-rich (high-end) or having clunky navigation with microscopic screen/text (low-end). This is just straightforward and easy to use for the most part. (I've never owned an iPod before so I didn't know about the scroll wheel but I figured it out right away). I love the size and how lightweight it is. It's aesthetically appealing and comes in great colors. I bought a clear cover for it because I tend to have the dropsies. You can definitely pair it with bluetooth headphones and it seems to work fine. The battery life seems good too. I had planned to put music on it but ended up putting the entire Bible on it instead...Alexander Scourby edition. It's the best idea I ever had since I owned the disk set and never listened to it because of how inconvenient it was, even after ripping it to my laptop. Now, I have no excuse.

It's OK. You get what is promised, but neither the hardware nor the software is really great. If you're used to the old iPod touch wheel, this feels clunky and not so responsive. Not a dealbreaker, you can get used to it. My main major complaint is the music sorting. Most normal people will want to browse artists, then browse their albums, pick one and play it. Like you'd do with records on a shelf. On this thing you can browse albums by title - I don't know what maniac would do that - or browse by artist. But if browsing by artist you get all their songs sorted by title or file name. You can (though it's not that intuitive) sub-divide by album, but it still looks like a big list of song titles with the album title in microscopic print, and the songs are still not in album order! Yes you can install Rockbox as an alternative, but why can it not come with a decent interface? They could have just copied the old iPod in that regard too. The interaction with Bluetooth headphones has also been awkward, where playing and pausing from the headphones sees to confuse the player. Together all these things have prevented me from using this much.

Before attempting to apply rockbox, it was an alright mp3 player, UI was laggy, scrolling too fast would bug out the system causing it to reboot. After attempting to apply rockbox, the device became bricked. Sad and shortlived, but that's my fault. It's an okay device as is, just be aware of issues and the risk of the device brocking of you attempt to modify it.
