This is a good choice for parents of young children, who are clambering for a phone or tablet. It has a plastic screen that looks like it could be glass, so no worry if dropped about cut fingers or high replacement cost. The theme and buttons are fun and likely to please young kids. It comes with a nice thick instruction book, and a one year warranty that is extendable to two years. It has parental controls, and no sim slot limiting access via phone calls. It already has kids versions of popular apps downloaded on it when available. It paired quickly and reliably to my external speaker and didn't drop off Bluetooth while in range. The sound is clear, but not too loud so little eardrums stay safe. The screen was very receptive to touch. It has a 3.5mm jack and comes with earbuds and a USB-c cord and a clear cover. The player is a nice burnt orange color and feels happy and bright. The battery lasts such a long time I was amazed every time I turned it on expecting it to be dead it was still above low battery. This can be used to watch movies on as well and they look great with true color. The size is also perfect for a toddler or young child's hands unlike the new phones which are too large and quite heavy. Great gift you a child or grandchild. The only real gripe I have is that the screen being plastic will scratch quite easily, so get a screen protector. I highly recommend this.

This device is an excellent choice for anyone (children or adults) looking for a dedicated listening device. It allows you to stream from popular apps like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, and I was even able to successfully download Pandora. You may have some login issues, but I am not sure if it is on the device or the app itself. A major standout is that it comes as a complete kit, including a protective case, screen protector, and headphones, which is a rare and welcome addition these days. Performance and Usage Tips: Focus on Audio: While it runs on Android, the processor and RAM are basic. To keep it running smoothly, I recommend uninstalling any unused apps and avoiding downloading games entirely (I don't even know if they will work, I hope they don't). Connectivity: The inclusion of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is a significant plus, making it easy to stream or connect to wireless speakers. Storage: You can transfer files via an SD card, though using streaming apps helps save internal storage space. The parental controls are misleading because there is no way to hide the parental control app. So there is nothing stopping the child from going right into the parental controls and changing your settings. Also the screen is very low quality and not crisp at all. This will suffice, but there are likely better options for the price especially if you want better parental controls.

Don't think your kid is quite ready for a cell phone yet but want something for them to use for some of those features like music, audio books, and videos? Get this! This has more features than we are honestly ready to use for our daughter. We put music and audiobooks on it for her. She loves it and it is very easy for her to navigate. It also has it's own case to protect it from drops. It seems to be fairly tough as a kid can drop it without instantly breaking it. I'm not sure how durable the screen is though as only the case is protected. I would suggest getting a screen protector or that screen hardener liquid for it. I'd say it's pretty reliable, it fires right up with the touch of a button every time. The battery life seems to be decent as she can listen to music all day without it dying. It has a bunch of pre-loaded apps that your child can access, or if you prefer you can simply turn off access to those applications with the parental controls. We didn't hook this up to the Internet though it is definitely capable of such. I tried out the Bluetooth feature and that worked flawlessly. It is also compatible with plug in headphones too as that is what we primarily have her use. I would say for what you get with this it is a VERY good value for the money. I mean you are getting a full on cell phone minus the calling features! It's basically an iPod. I would suggest this for any parent looking for a high level of control over what your child has access to while also allowing them to access the Internet for music.

Purchased one to use as a music player for my daughter. It failed to charge right out of the box. Had it replaced and had the same problem with it not charging straight out of the box. I would stay away from these, look for something else.
