Bought this to replace my lost Nintendo controller. I was looking for a controller that I could rely on, a controller endorsed by Nintendo was a real plus! I wasn’t looking for the RGB lights, but I have to say these are really cool! Not only can you manually change the colors & color patterns, but if you want to reduce your battery draw, or just aren’t into pretty colors, you can opt to have them turned off. Also wanted to mention that you are able to customize the controls & can opt to turn off the extra controls on the back, in the bottom. I have ADHD so I have an issue remembering extra controls or buttons, so I have them turned off to keep me from hitting inadvertently. I was lucky enough to buy this during a really great sale $29.99, which was about 1/2 price of the same controller (in purple) on Nintendo’s site. Even at full price, I would have opted for the Amazon offering because I’m a Prime member & get free shipping on eligible items. Great buy!     • A nearly perfect pro controller clone, with just a few minor drawbacks

Seems great on first impression with two minor drawbacks. 1. For some reason, the home and capture buttons are placed above the plus and minus buttons compared to the official pro controller, which can be really annoying if you’re used to the official pro control controller. 2. The other drawback is that you cannot see the battery level in the controller menu. You have to rely on the controller’s own lights for a low battery warning. But, the controller does work with the switch 1 and switch 2, it feels great in your hand, the buttons and sticks all seem solid and responsive, and the light effects are really cool. Have not experimented with the programmable back buttons yet, and may not ever bother, but it’s a nice feature to have. I am not sure it’s worth the full $59 price tag, considering the official pro controller is just a little bit more at MSRP, but we were able to pick it up when there was an extra $20 off promo, and for $39 It’s definitely a great 3rd party option - as long as it holds up to the test of time (we shall see.) ... show more

This is a great controller worth getting for the switch 1 or 2 since I believe it is compatible with both. I've owned the original Afterglow controller but felt it was too slippery. This one is an improvement in that department. The buttons feel great and it has good battery life. It's probably the best pro controller alternative out there. Another win for PDP.
