This is a product that kept popping up when I was searching for items to be prepared for my double mastectomy. I thought it was a little over the top and that I certainly didn't need it. Then, the scheduler at my surgeon's office recommended it to offer me some degree of protection in case my young puppy tried to jump on me. So I ordered it. When I tried it on, my husband burst out laughing. Then he tried it on and I laughed! But honestly, this purchase was a GOD SEND! It was great to protect me from the seatbelt coming home from the hospital. I wore it nonstop for the first couple of days. The pockets for gel packs, drains, and phone/remote/etc were so helpful and the little bit of weight and pressure against my chest was comforting. Luckily, the puppy has so far only once jumped at me, but this did serve to stop that from being painful. If you are having a mastectomy and considering this at all - BUY IT! I'm very happy with this purchase. It helped me stay on my back while sleeping. Kept me comfortable and the seatbelt off the drains in the car. This thing was a life saver when I had my breast cancer surgery. It made me feel safe on my ride home from the hospital, and any other time I rode in the car. It’s so comfy I even slept with it on until I got comfortable enough to be without it.

This is a fantastic kit!! The tiny ice packets may seem too small but they're not, since you're only suppossed to use it for 20 minutes at a time, mine lasted almost an hour each. I love that the cover is removable so I don't have to worry about it getting soiled from drains. The inside/outside pockets are fantastic. The fabric is soft and the pillow part is just firm enough, goldilocks perfect. I strongly recommend trying it on before surgery and adjust the straps and learn how to attach it to your body around the waist/rib area. We packed this in the car for the ride home and actually thought that was the only time I'd use it but I've used it daily for ice packs, or in front of me while journaling....I LOVE that they have the shower bags for your drains. Only wish they offered a 2 pack, one for when you're wet and another for when you're drying off, but it fits anyone really well. It's easy to use and the cost is fantastic. Definitely get this before your surgery or as a gift for someone who will be walking that breast cancer healing journey ... show more

Has exactly what you need post mastectomy! I’ve pockets, clips are easy to do in your own, soft, and comfortable. People said you don’t need one of these post op, but I’d highly recommend as I slept with it for weeks following surgery!
