First the TLDR - It is a great desktop mic even at twice the price. I am actually using this to record on hold messages for an enterprise phone system but the quality of the sound is certainly podcast or youtube worthy as well. I found the ability to monitor on headphones directly through the mic and have volume control to be a real plus as well. The mic and base are metal and fairly heavy and just feel like a quality piece. The only complaint I have is the micro USB connector. First, it should be USB C but more importantly the internal connector itself is a little bit short so it you are not using the USB cable that came with it, the plug sticks out a bit and makes it feel unsteady. If you're still using the microphones built into your webcam you'll be blown away by the improvement in sound quality from this Movo microphone. I'm amazed when I see people on TV being interviewed using their laptop camera and microphone, sounding like they're in a bathroom. This brings the professional studio sound to your computer recordings. I knocked a star off because this still has a micro USB connection (my least favorite) rather than the now-standard USB C. Also, the USB A end of the cable is awkwardly sticky going into and out of the USB ports on my computer...not sure why...maybe the tolerances are a little off.
