This boom pole is quite excellent. It's nice and light weight, but mighty rigid. It extends a good solid amount and works perfectly with the boom mounts I already have. No complaints, would recommend.

The Movo CMP-15 boom pole is an impressive piece of equipment. Firstly, its quality of aluminum is commendable; the pole is incredibly sturdy. Even when fully extended, it remains steadfast, showing no signs of flex. The build quality definitely feels professional. However, I did find a couple of areas that could benefit from refinement. The foam grip, although comfortable, tends to slide around slightly when you apply torque to tighten the sections. This isn't a significant issue, but it's something to note. Also, despite how tight I adjusted the pole, the sections had the occasional tendency to slip a bit. With a heavy microphone, I can imagine there would be a risk of unwanted rotation. An additional suggestion would be to incorporate threaded holes at the bottom for accessory mounting. It would enhance its utility considerably. The most noticeable inconsistency is the product description. It's indicated that the boom pole features ¼ and ⅜ threads, but it actually comes with ⅜ and ⅝ threads. While this may not be a significant issue for many users, especially those using it for microphones (as the ⅝ thread is more commonly needed), it's still an oversight that needs correction. Those familiar with this equipment can even spot the discrepancy in the product photos.

Super easy to use and mount a mic. The arm extends to 9ft with twist locks which is very intuitive but also seems way bigger in person than I expected. Overall easy to use, comfortable grip, and stores away nicely.

You can get closer to the vocal action with this guy (you can also bop people on the head, accidentally, or y'know, "accidentally," depending on the subject). But if you don't mean to bop people on the head, you're in luck, because this is nicely balanced, lightweight enough to hold without getting a major cramp, and sturdy enough to extend without the flexibility of a fly fishing pole. 100% meets my needs and paired beautifully with the shockmount from Movo (as expected, and as it should). Appreciate that it doesn't add a lot of weight to the travel bag and collapses to a reasonable size. With both those items, you're 100% in business for up-close recording without breaking the bank, and that's a plus. There's always something costly you'll need, so the value here helps. Built well enough to last through my 1,001th recording session, I'd expect? Very good value. Five stars.

This Boom Pole has some amazing machining and great quality metal. It's super lightweight, has a spot for a strap if you want to anchor it somewhere to take a load off which is a nice touch. The turn parts to extend the pole are very nice quality, remarkably so. I have a crew coming in this week and I'm sure we'll get a lot of good use out of it. Highly recommend

This was my first boom pole. It seems ok but not good enough. The knuckles are sticky as in the sections turn with them when locking and unlocking. Each section is quiet when opening or closing but don’t move freely. It is all aluminum so at least the knuckles should not break but I think I cross threaded the first knuckle on the very first unlocking after receiving it. It’s a hassle to lock and unlock. I’m going to spend a couple hundred on a better boom pole for self funded documentary work. For social media/ static interview setup this might work ok enough.
