Should I Buy It?

If you're an enthusiastic surfer with a bike, this product comes highly recommended. Although there are some minor issues with wobbling and mounting, these are minor considering the overall satisfaction and high ratings. • Use the rest, this is the best
I have been using my bike for taking my surf board out with two other racks and by hand (forget that!). I had a previous system which used a bike rack that wasn't really for longboards so I looked around and decided that based on the reviews this was the one to purchase. 1. What's in the box?: You receive in a nicely done box, the rack broken into pieces. Basically there are the attachments points for three things. The front post attachment, the seat (or rear post) attachment, and a bike rack attachment should that be needed. Plus, instructions and a sticker (cool!). 2. Installation? Honestly, the installation was far easier than I realized since the directions say watch videos on the website. I didn't because I didn't feel I need it, but if you need help they are there for you and are fine. To install you need a 10mm wrench and an allen key. If you don't have there I suggest finding them because otherwise installation won't be easy at all. Essentially, you just use the two posts provided for putting the front rack around the bike and using the bolts and nuts and then putting on the reach seat rack most likely doing essentially the same thing. 3. Use?: Fantastic. Though this thing actually has some give, this is great because riding over bumps does cause some vibrations. So there are two pieces. One fits into each attachment and there are teeth so unlike my previous rack, this is not moving around (don't do the final tighten until you play with the tube for the rack as you may want to adjust the thing a bit depending on your board. Once the rack is in place, it clicks with a satisfying click and you are ready to go. It works and it is a little more expensive but in the end I think well worth it. You can also attach a leash of you want for doing your dog around which is nice too. Overall, very nice. ... show more

  • Best engineered and designed rack there is
Unbelievably well designed rack for carrying boards on a bike. This is coming from the perspective of a scrutinizing meticulous engineer who has had every type/brand of rack ever brought to market as well as built their own. These are amazing in design, flexibility and craftsmanship. They are super easy to set-up/install with various mounting options. Once installed, super easy to load and hold my various coveted longboards safe and secure on the rough and bumpy roads here in Costa Rica. I’ll admit i was a bit skeptical at first having never heard of the brand and thrown plenty of cash at crappy chinese bs, but these are the real deal. They are fantastic and i think will hold my SUP but not tried that yet. I love em and will definitely buy a pair for use in the states. Pura Vida! ... show more

  • Love it! Easy to use, Strong and Sturdy!
Best surfboard carrier out there hands down! Fits my longboard snug and STABLE. Solid mount, lots of flexibility for bikes of different frame sizes. LOVE that the mount is detachable. Super easy to take off and put on. Couldn't be easier to remove if you're trying to store the bike in a tight space. Makes me want to surf more now that I don't have to park my car and the rack is so easy to use. I got 2 of these and installed one on each of our cruiser bikes. One was a women's bike with an all steal frame and it took less than 30 mins to put together. The other was a fatter aluminum frame which took about 1.5 hrs. One thing worth mentioning is that even the widest U-Bolt that was provided was not wide enough for my Aluminum bike frame which is a little fatter. (Giant Simple) I had to use a wrench to bend the U-Bolt around the frame in the front so that it would fit and the rubber protection wasn't long enough. Scratched the paint in the process. Once I got it to fit I had to saw the excess length of the screws off from the front mount which it is stated in the manual as might be necessary for some. Maybe include a wider mount for those of us with newer, aluminum frames? Would have given 5 starts if it weren't for that little custom fitment I had to do. Overall great rack and would recommend highly!! ... show more

  • This Company stands by its product
I purchased the Longboard rack for my son for Christmas. Several months later, my son took a spill on the bike and damaged the rack. A part broke due to his fall. I called the company, and 1) They answered the phone on the first ring. 2) A real person who knew the product and parts listened to my story. 3) They expedited the broken part to me the next day.....Free of charge. This was totally our fault and we should have paid for the part and shipping. 4) The person on the line was concerned about my son and made an executive decision to help us out. This type of service rarely happens in todays world, if ever. Usually, it's some obscure part from China or Korea that can no longer be located. Thank you Greg and Moved By Bikes!!!!! ... show more
