  • This Thru Axle adapter compatible with instep, Schwinn, Allen sports Thule Chariot, Burley, Hamax, Retrospec and many more brand bike trailers.
  • Replaces your original Thru-Axle so you can attach a bike trailer to your Thru Axle bike.
  • The true length of the axle shaft is from 167mm to 185mm and can be shortened by using the included spacers.
  • You need a standard 5mm hex wrench to do the installing work. The bike trailer hitch is not included in this kit.
  • NOTE: Thru-Axle lengths do not equal to hub standards. An axle has to be longer than the hub to fit with the bike frame. A 12148 hub does not equal a 148mm long axle.
  • Please pull out the original axle and carefully measure the shaft length and check the thread pitch before purchase.

Horrible. The nut won’t thread on and when I tightened the thru axle in with hardly any torque the bolt stripped on me. Do not buy it’s terrible quality

This through Axel is really well built. I have already gone on three rides with my dog in a trailer. It comes with a ton of spacers for connecting to your bike and connecting it to whatever trailer. 10 out of 10 would buy again.

    • Worked fine until it failed just trying to remove it one day(2yrs of use)

Worked well for about 2yrs but this time when I went to remove it to change my tire the threaded part where the trailer would attach cracked so the allen wrench would just spin. I always torque to spec(12Nm) so its very strange it failed as it is steel construction so should have held up better. Managed to get it out the bike but it was not easy bc the allen head no longer worked so had to jam two nuts together to get it off. Its possible my riding may be part of the issue(this is a bike I converted to ebike and ride in alot of black diamond and double black trails so sometimes clip rocks. Having to go back to standard axle for now and have to decide if I get another and only use it when I need the trailer rather than use the same one all the time(sort of annoying having to swap if I go that route). ... show more
