Used this for an Instep light n fast branded kid carrier on a trek bike. Mounted up perfectly even with the quick release axle. I did have to redrill my carrier 90* off due to my own lack of comprehension when looking but that was no big deal and I could've just as easily redrilled the bike attachment. I went with this version I had a spare spring mount on the carrier if mine ever had issues. Carried my 60# (6y) son as a test and then my 25# (18mo) and 45# (4y) son later in the day to confirm it all worked as it should

It is just a little too short. I had to drill a new hole in the trailer arm, but it's not a big deal. It works fine.

This is great quality and I'm so glad it's available. However, the bolt on my bike is larger than this hole. I think the fault is in the bike. I'll try drilling this out a bit.

I had to return it because while it does fit a leg-powered bicycle, the hole for the axle of an e-bike is too small. Those things use a thicker rear axle. My recommendation is that the product description should specify the size of the hole. With a caution to check your bike before you buy. And maybe sell a version made for e-bikes??? Hmm???

The dimensions of this item are quite clearly stated, although if you're not really studying everything in the advertisement, you may wish to know this is a rather small device. It is somewhat important that it is spring-loaded so that it will keep your trailer lined up properly and spring back after a sharp turn or turn. It is somewhat durable but I cannot say it's crazy strong. I could say if you smacked your trailer into a tree or something that this would break off, probably at the coupler. Now this may be a good thing depending on your circumstances. I'm just saying it's not very big and it's not very durable but then again it wasn't very expensive. So I'm okay with my purchase but I'm not overlyjoyed. Thank you for reading. also, I'm sure that this is built to connect to certain types of trailers that have certain bar connectors. I'm not familiar with that as I built my own trailer. I was able to connect to this fairly easily with just slightly above average mechanical skills. However, it would be nice if the supplier would give more information on different usage ideas. I mean they tell you what it is and they describe it but they could go into a little bit further detail on how it's actually used and what trailers it's used with. MarkMannM2

I ordered this hitch to replace an old failed hitch on my dog's trailer. This is a great option if your old spring style hitches urethane segment has failed. I did need to enlarge the hole slightly to fit into my e-bikes larger rear axle but it was just slightly too small and easily drilled out to a slightly bigger size.
