If you're new to powered builds, or just haven't picked up the habit of sorting all the pieces first, then starting your build, you should definitely do that now. I've done about 25 of these powered engine brick set builds now, plus nearly 60 powered RC robot builds, all in the last 2 years, and I've just found that sorting the pieces into steps, and arranging them in a tray--I just use little silicone baking molds on a sheet pan--before beginning the build, ends up actually saving you time overall, and ensures that all the pieces are enumerated before you start, so you don't get surprised by a missing piece mid-build. With all that said, this set is a lot of fun, but like any powered engine build, you need to be very precise. A Technic tool set with a brick separator, hammer, and axle pliers will really help. I also use a small set of offset channel-lock pliers with some rawhide glued on both sides of the jaws. That way, I can make sure all the bricks are fully tightened together, as well as separate them and pull axles and shafts when needed. If you don't tighten each piece as you assemble it, the engine often won't work well or it will bind up. The bricks in this set definitely fit together very tightly, which is nice, but it does require a bit of force, which I why I used my offset pliers for many of the steps. The instructions are pretty decently illustrated, and should be easy to follow if you've done basic powered builds before, but this is definitely not for brick set beginners or young kids. The finished build runs fine, and I've taken it into the office to use as a desk toy a couple times. Overall, this is a fun set, that will probably take you either one long evening or two partial evenings to finish, if you work uninterrupted. And it's a really good price. So if you're looking to level up your brick set experience, this is not a bad place to start. ... show more
