I made this purchase in May-07-2016, after carefully searching on Amazon and reading up on a multitude of of different Wireless Video Baby Monitors. I ordered and received the Monitor 2 days later on May-09-2016. I was still very unsure about this product or any other as this was for my first and only child. I work as a Career Firefighter/EMT and have seen some disastrous results from good parents that simply diverted their attention monetarily. It was because of that, along with my wife and I wanting to get some form of intimacy back, but while keeping our then 12 month old in eye sight but in his own room I made the purchase. The "Motorola MBP36S Remote Wireless Video Baby Monitor with 3.5-Inch Color LCD Screen, Remote Camera Pan, Tilt, and Zoom " was properly packaged and came as advertised with a 3.5 inch LCD which included a rechargeable battery (that I simply placed inside), the Color/Night vision Camera, and Wall mounting accessories. With this product being such a important purchase financially and more so for the safety of everyone's child I decided to wait around 6 months before giving this a written review. I nor my wife have had any issues with the camera or well displayed 3.5 inch screen. The night vision is amazing, I completely black out his room (thick blanket over the blinds) when its nap time as he won't sleep when he can see light. I can see him and everything else in the room very clearly and when light is made available the color is great. It picks up on the sounds and both audio and visual is nearly instantaneously transmitted to your screen. With that said I'm still a little more cautions and like to actually see good equal rise and fall of his chest to confirm what I'm hearing.. Motorola does a great job again with the zoom feature and it has a very wide range of motion nearly 360. Battery life could be better, it will last 3+ hours but you'll have to lower the volume to mid range. Again, it might just be my pre-programmed paranoia that keeps it up so high in the first place. The lullabies are basic and rarely used, I have a old cellphone that is on WiFi that we play classical music on. It has a walkie talkie-ish feature which allows you to communicate while pressing the microphone button on your screen. We use it when he wakes up and starts crying to let him hear our voice and let him know we're on our way. It works throughout our house and I'm able to walk to the mailbox without losing signal. It displays both signal and battery level and will sound a alarm if either is low. Congratulations to any new or returning parents and I recommend this product. There are a lot of mixed reviews out there, but I thought this camera and monitor screen meet my needs. Super easy to set up, just plug it in to the power outlet and wait a sec for handheld monitor to find the camera. I used the monitor in hand while I found the perfect camera position for keeping an eye on baby. I have a 2 story home with a finished basement and was looking for a way to keep an eye on baby sleeping upstairs while I'm down on main floor in the kitchen or down the basement watching a movie. I have no problem with connection of the handheld monitor to the camera throughout my home. The monitor has an antenna that folds up from the back, I find that I need that up to get rid of interference or backfeed noise. The camera microphone is sensative enough for you to hear the baby breathing on the monitor and sometimes sounds from other rooms get picked up and echoed through. At night, I turn the volume off because it is hard to sleep listening to all the baby noises. The camera has night vision so you can see the baby just fine, but know that by definition - night vision is black and white. The only way you'd get color picture at night is if you shined a light on your baby. The monitor has a limited battery, which i usually just leave plugged in or know I've only got a few hours unplugged. All and all, I think this is a great set for single camera use, it has the option to expand to multiple cameras but the monitor only lets you see one camera at a time. Have to click into the menu to choose the camera you want to see so if you were watching two kids you'd have switch back and forth.

The media could not be loaded. Update: below is a review I wrote for the MPB33, Motorola contacted me and allowed me to return the 33, and replaced it with the 36S. I like the 36S, the pan & zoom control from the parent unit is nice, and there are no issues with hissing or hiccuping. The cons now: the battery dies pretty quickly. I leave the charging cord at my nightstand and the parent unit is plugged in all night long. I take it off the plug in the AM and it operates for about an hour off the plug. It loses at least 1, if not 2 bars of power in just an hour. When my daughter goes to bed at night and the unit is off the charger for a few hours, like right now, I am down to 1 bar. Why? I click on the image every so often, but I don't leave it on for more than a few seconds. Why does it have to turn on when you plug the parent unit into the charging cord? Kudos for Motorola for reaching out to me to replace my defective unit, but I am still convinced that companies that make baby equipment don't test their products on people with babies! It's 2016 and humans have landed a rocket on a comet, why are we still stuck with baby monitors that hiss, hiccup, and are all-around aggravating? Pros: The camera can be adjusted (by hand) up & down and side to side to achieve the right view is great. The image quality is very nice, especially in daylight, it's quite beautiful. That's about it! I like the zoom in function of the camera, too, but the baby's face has to be in juuuust the right spot in the crib, or else you get a close-up of a zipper or onesie logo. Cons: You have to either press the on button several times or hold it for 5-10 seconds to turn on, and that's when the buzzing and beeping starts. The buzz is constant, the beeping goes away once the screen is turned off. These sounds do not decrease in volume even if you turn the volume of the unit down. In fact, it often times will jump to a louder beep and buzz, then fall back down to the normal level. Once you get past the beeping and buzzing there is the matter of the screen being on and off. You don't have to have the image of the baby on the monitor screen all of the time, and you'll save battery power, of course, by leaving the screen dark except to check in on the sleeping kiddo. When you do want to check in, however, an annoying red image appears across the screen, to tell you that the image will continue for 5 minutes. This warning disappears eventually, but I don't want it there in the first place! I am just peeking in, and don't need a giant warning about the time. I don't want the talk function, it's scares the kid, in my opinion, and I have accidentally pressed the button once or twice, which could seriously disturb my sleeping bambina. I also don't see a need for a music function. Every other baby product makes music, I swear I've seen a wipe dispenser that played a tune!?!?! Really, does the manufacturer need to waste the space, and increase the cost of the unit, by including the music? Seems totally unnecessary, but I don't think you can buy a monitor without it. Maybe I'm the one Mom who feels this way... All in all the monitor does its job, but it is clumsy at best. If you normally sleep with a sound machine then pack away the canned rainforest and enjoy the white noise of this Motorola!
