I had this baby monitor for only a few days and have already had to return it. Charged the battery on the monitor as instructed. Plugged in the camera and…nothing. It kept showing an error and nothing on the screen. Finally after 30 minutes of unplugging and plugging it back in, resets, somehow the camera paired with the monitor. All was good for the next day, good sound, okay picture. The next day, I turned on the monitor in the morning to be greeted with again, no picture, no sound. Again started trying everything I could do to pair the monitor and camera. Nothing worked, I gave up and started the return process. Don’t buy this. ... show more

Seriously I can't understand how this isn't a top pick. Probably Motorola aren't investing in marketing as some other brands in all those recommendations sites. I've tried several monitors, including ones that appear on every list. Yes, it's not fancy and the app is basic. But it is RELIABLE. It always works, both monitor and Wi-Fi. It just NEVER fails. Monitor battery life is very good as well. This is all you need. No need for glorified monitors with unnecessary features. ... show more

    • The monitor loses connection like crazy!
The media could not be loaded. NOT WORTH THE $100 but does an okay job. The monitor does NOT require Wi-Fi as it uses the signal of the camera. It’s supposed to have a 1,000 ft rage but I can be less than 50 ft away and it will drop all connection and freezes up and lags. Eventually it comes back but I have to do a reset every few days. It also is a MANUAL rotation camera. You can’t rotate the camera from the controls on the parent monitor. The camera does swivel when you adjust it yourself. Also monitor MUST stay plugged in most of the day or it will die quickly. It has about 3/4hr battery life with video on. I have attached a video of the monitor dropping signal for almost 20 seconds. In the background you can hear the music (meaning I’m not far at all), and it occurs primarily when my baby is moving or talking ... show more

Looks used and the camera version or images is upside down the rotation icon is not working and it’s hard to connect with phone on the steps of scanning the barcode.
