I wish I would have trusted more of the reviews I read. I had a Motorola Hubble connect 20 and replaced it with this one as I expected similar functions and app. Overall it does what it says, but there are main things that just don't work up to the function of my expectation of a baby monitor. The night vision images from the app are attached. When up close to the camera the night vision was better, but it only worked in a circle around the center of the image, the corners were still dark. That isn't my definition of night vision. The parent unit image was not any better. The parent unit would not connect to the cameras and has an obnoxiously loud tone that can't be adjusted. The parent unit is also bulky with a stand that cannot collapse and fit in a pocket comfortably. For the 260 we spent I expected a significantly better overall function. ... show more

Went for a Motorola because we used one for our first child 5 years ago and liked the video quality and app. Night video quality turned out was poor. App is not very user friendly, preferred their old app. Motion detection alerts did not work, they went off when nothing was happening in the room except for maybe a cloud going in front of the sun. The picture I posted is of night vision in the morning with the curtains drawn. If it’s any darker than this, like at night, the night vision struggles unless the camera is right next to the crib or bed. We have both cameras hung up in the corners of our kids rooms. I’ll probably move the baby’s camera for closer viewing. Other than that I love it. The quality during daytime naps or otherwise is great. The talk feature works well. I love the split screen to see both my kids at once. The app works nicely to see my kids and get alerts on my phone. There is a slight delay in audio and picture (like 1 second or so) but it’s not bad. Overall a good monitor upgrade for us from Infant Optics ... show more

I purchased the dual camera system just before our second child was born. I set them up in both bedrooms as we were getting the second ready. Daily, the parent unit would randomly lose connection to the cameras without moving or unplugging it. Our house is very modest too so we aren’t talking about a great distance. I contacted Motorola and performed the requested troubleshooting. When that failed, they sent me a replacement. We went through this troubleshooting-replacement process FOUR times as each did the same thing. The technicians at Motorola seemed nice but were dumbfounded as to why it was happening. Good luck trying to use the mobile app as well! We have VERY good WiFi in our home but if you pull the app up to check on a noise or movement, be prepared to wait a few minutes IF it connects at all! AND now Motorola wants to charge you for the recording feature! At this point, I’ve gone many months past my purchase and cannot return to Amazon for a refund. I called to speak with a manager at Motorola and was told they will not refund me but offered to send another model of lesser quality. We bought their top of the line model and it was not inexpensive because we care about our children’s safety and well being. This does not meet our expectations. Do not buy! ... show more

this monitor was quite decent at first. Have had it for four months. Now, out of nowhere, it loses connection to the cameras several times per day. It seems to be getting worse. This happens at least once per night now, and every time it loses connection it starts sounding an alarm (for me, luckily not for the baby, although for the baby it starts FLASHING RED). Brilliant. Anyways it is slowly becoming un-usable and of course 4 months is out of the support period. Would not recommend buying this. ... show more

If you will be keeping the settings the same it's a great monitor. You can see two camera views at once, but if you do, the camera view is cut in half so you have to make sure you camera is focused precisely on the area you want to see. Overall the connection is great even without using wifi. It's plug and play. I love that the monitor screen is rechargable so you can take it from one room to another.
