Typically I don't go for WiFi monitors but wanted to give this one a try, because our regular one has poor range and battery life. The first one we got had some issues, the night vision wasn't working properly so I returned it and got a replacement which worked fine. Here are a few insights I suppose after using it for a month: 1. The temperature sensor seems to be a bit off...our other monitor seems to be more accurate. Ours reads a bit cooler than the actual room temp, maybe by 2 degrees or so, sometimes even more. 2. The image quality is good, but that can depend on your phone's connection as well - poor connection/image might be not as sharp, etc. 3. Panning works seamlessly/quite well, and has good range of motion. 4. The application is...not the best. If you have it open on your screen the entire time, it stays connected and sound works continually. There is an option to have it running in the background (so you can use other apps on your phone, and still be able to hear sound) but that doesn't work well for me. It frequently disconnects from the sound, and I have to go back into the app where the camera tries to reconnect and it can take a minute or so before it actually does that. 5. I did briefly try the storytelling and music, which is a nice feature, especially the stories which I haven't seen before on any other monitors. My little one doesn't really care for it as she has a nightlight that plays music she prefers. You can also do a personal recording, which is a nice touch. 6. It has a journal where you can log activities, feeding, changing, etc. That's especially helpful for a new parent because I had used an entirely separate app for that. The picture quality, especially involving motion is not great. It’s very pixilated and motion is jerky and delayed. Night vision is decent, but still has the picture quality issue of course. The temperature sensor is absolutely useless. It consistently reads 6-15° above the actual temperature. It has never read below 81° and my house has never been that hot. It has read as high as 94° when it was 79° in the room. Our house thermostat is in the same room, and as pictured my thermostat (accurately) is reading 72° and the camera is reading 83.5° at the same moment. It was alerting to high temperature every 2 minutes. It even jumps around, one second saying 81° the next saying 92° the next saying 86°. We had to turn the temperature alert off completely. It also frequently buffers/disconnects. You get about 10 seconds to watch the camera before the picture goes away and takes a few minutes to reconnect, and then repeat. Neatly packaged in a small box, first impression of parts and accessories upon opening isn't too intimidating. You've got the main body, power adapter, operating manual, mount options (free standing or wall), and some screws with drywall anchors if mounting to a wall. An app is needed to de downloaded, of course, for viewing and other settings. Out of the box, this is a really decent baby monitor and it looks like you have a mechanical pet. The main body rotates side-to-side and the 'head' also tilts up and down. The wall mount is not a 90deg angle bracket but is probably somewhere around 100-110deg. This allows for the main body to be angled or tilted downwards. I suppose thought must be taken as to where to mount this exactly when doing wall mounting as there will be limitations to the camera's tilt angle and/or rotation view. And I suppose the wall bracket could have been made in such a way that the angle could be manually adjusted like at least for 3 settings. On the other hand, the free standing mount could have been some sort of a tripod style mount where you could at least adjust the heights variably, or even tilt the whole body one one side if need be. There are a couple of things that can be nitpicked with this but overall it should work as a charm. Will recommend ... show more
