A lot of the reviews seem AI generated, but I actually bought this thing and thought I’d share my experience . I chose these because it’s the cheapest smart blinds you can get. The old saying you get what you pay for comes to mind. As non smart blinds, this thing is pretty slick. Easy enough install, sturdy construction, arrived as advertised with all the hardware you need, even drywall anchors (bonus points for that). You can adjust the maximum high and minimal height the blinds extend to. They block out all light coming from my window. The RF remote feels cheap but works just fine. Instructions were clear enough, but could stand to be reviewed by a non-tech-savvy native English speaker. The solar panel is awesome and so far as heald up great, but the connector on it is rather thick, you should take this plugs thickness in mind when mounting the blinds as it needs about a 1/2inch of clearance. I ordered the 35” set, but ended up having to grind down about 1mm of plastic on both sides because it turns out my window was just slightly shorter than 35” and I really wanted that inner fitment. Ez enough with a rotary sander. My fault for not measuring the window to the 1/16 of an inch. My biggest issue with these is they claim to be smart. It’s not super clear from their posting, but in order to make them “smart” you need to buy their $35 adapter connects to your phone (Tuya app) then sends 443MHz RF to the blinds to mimic the remote. I did not want to buy that and used my existing BroadLink RM4 Pro I have for controlling IR/RF devices with HomeAssistant. I was able to learn the codes from the remote pretty easily and tie it into some basic automations. (So the blinds open when my wake up alarm goes off, it’s the best feeling ever!) . I keep saying “smart” because in my mind these are not truly smart. They have no state. I cannot check if the blinds are open or if they blinds are closed or what % open they are, I can only send “open” , “close”, and “stop” commands via RF. It still works for basic automations such as: “Close the blinds at sunset”, “Open the blinds when my alarm goes off”. If these things are possible with their little adapter I’ll buy it and update my review, but it doesn’t seems like it could be possible. In my mind these are dumb blinds that have a remote, and you can mimic the remote with HomeAssistant or a FlipperZero. If you don’t want to tie them into complex home automations and can live without state then these are the best remote controlled blinds you can buy for the price. Knowing what I know now and my goals of home automation via HomeAssistant, I probably would have spent the $150 for a set of ikeas zigbee blinds. I may still try to tear these apart and control them with an ESP32, or add some Halifax sensors to the top and bottom to be able to tell if they are open or closed. The media could not be loaded. I can’t believe how great these are! We have had them for a few months now. We have extremely high ceilings in our entry. We needed something that we could control remotely without breaking the bank. They are flawless. Solar power is working great even with limited sun. Some reviews showed creases but ours didn’t have any. Highly recommended!!!!

Update 1/17/2025: after I posted this review, the seller contacted me via Amazon and offered to replace the broken blind. I had to order it, let them know the order number, then they refunded. Installed the new blind and it’s working as expected. Hoping this one will last longer. I bought a pair of these blinds in July of 2024. Both worked as expected until about a month ago; one of them no longer works. The battery is charged and I tried following the instructions in the manual to reset but nothing worked. These blinds are supposed to have a one year warranty, so I reached out to the seller (at [email protected]) twice but still no replies. I can’t believe the blind broke so soon especially when it is not used that often. I would be surprised if I used it more than 50 times. And since these are motorized blinds, there is no way to operate them manually. I would NOT recommend these at all.

I bought 2 of these blinds. One got put up right away with solar charger and the other one got set aside for another project. Probably only used 10 times!! Went to roll it up today and nothing works!! Tried to repair the remote and got nothing!! Figured I’ll use the spare/ new in the box one and it does the same thing. No charging, paring or up/down!! Best feeling about these blinds was throwing them in the trash!!! Don’t waste your time or money!! I’m

I bought 7 of these shades for my new windows in my house. Overall I would say that they operate well, except for one shade, the solar cell seems to be draining the battery instead of charging it. The other 6 work really well, but if I leave the solar cell plugged into the shade, it drains the battery in a few days. It is unclear if there is a way to get warranty service on just the solar cell that came with the blind, as I do not want to have to pull down the entire thing and return.
