This is the 4th foot pedal that had the same problem. Works fine for just over a month (warranty is 30 days) and for no reason it stops working. The last pedal I bought lasted 35 days and motorguide will not warranty. I Will never buy a motorguide product again.

JUNK! Trouble from the start and now will not go left. After reading reviews I see this is an on going issue with many users. Im literally 12 days pass warranty so no replacement or return.

As other reivew state - this operates very stiff. However, researched and then bought C-750 Compression Spring (need 2, Amazon has pkg of 4) and replaced them in the pedal. So much easier to operate.

I had to return mine because it wouldn't pair with the motor. I think it was defective because the instructions kept mentioning 1 tone or 2 and all I could hear was an extremely faint click. I tried everything. Also, it was much bigger than it had to be. Might work well on a bass boat with open flat decks but it was hard to find a place large enough on my bow. If it had been able to pair I definitely would have kept it, that's why I gave it 3 stars. ... show more

Do like everyone says. Get the new, lighter springs for it and its a decent pedal. Leave the stiff ones in and you'll hate it. Still way over priced IMO. Couple of videos on U-tube if you need guidence. Beats the heck out of the annoying key FOB style hand controler. A non fisherman def came up with that brilliant idea. ... show more

    • Quit working after a year.

When I first set it up it was easy to sync and worked fine. It takes a little getting used to even after switching to a lighter spring because it’s very different than a cable steer pedal. But after a year it quit syncing and won’t sync up again. I’ve tried everything. It turns on and off but just won’t sync. I’m dreaded the call to motorguide’s outsourced call center where they’ll make me try to sync it while on the phone with them before they realize it doesn’t work anymore and I have to buy a new one. Bottom line it appears to be junk. If you can get by without using it then don’t get one. ... show more
